Greeting, new to building my own coils so please bear with me.
Im reading up and trying to learned and Im some what a demwit lol.
My first coil build consist of 24g coil wire, eight wraps. Length of wire is a little over two inches.
Inner circle dia of wire is approx 1/8".
On my ohms meter it reads 0.64.
If my target ohms is let say .5 or better.
How do I go about reach my target?
I have a bunch of Panasonic 10A 2900mAh's on hand.
But should be getting my LG H2's in todays mail.
Im assuming the 35a batteries are actually 20A's.
I look to be using my LG's in my Nemesis mech and have a 454 big block with dual coils.
Considering purchasing some 28g coil wire.
You addvice on builds, battery and such will be appreciated.
I'd like to start vape with my new mech as soon as the LG H2's get here.
Do I need less or more wraps with this 24g wire, should I just go with a single coil wire?
I will learned, just takes me a while.
Thanks in advance.

You need to consider the continuous amp rating of your battery when it comes to rebuilding. Make sure you allow headroom. Understanding Ohm's Law will assist you here.

The more wire you use (single coil), the higher your coils resistance will be. Using dual coils in parallel will result in 1/2 the resistance of a single coil.

I suggest you start with 28 gauge wire (single coil) until you perfect your rebuilding and wicking skills.

If you are new to mech mods and rebuildables I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (one of our resident battery experts) and visit his blogs. You are now 100% in control of your own safety (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.

Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding mods and rebuildables are listed below:

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

I'd pick up some 26ga and 28ga as well, I haven't figured out how to build a really great 24ga coil; they've been good, but very massive with a fair amount of afterburn.

It depends what you're firing the coils with. For a mech, I've found that about 0.65 ohms worth of 24ga per coil is about as high of resistance as you want. So for a dual coil, this would be 0.375 ohms net, and this build had a bit of ramp up time; I wasn't a fan. I just found myself building uncomfortably low resistance dual coils with 24ga, and still getting less than ideal results. But that's just me.

Multiple strands of 28ga is performing much better at the same low resistances, and 26ga performs very well at around 0.8ohms per coil.

You can use www.steam-engine.org to help you figure out a good coil build, I use it all the time :)
