I do agree with the box mod format not being as attractive of an option, (overall experience, usability, carrying ability) as a tube mod. As everyone says from prior posts, It's not too bad though. The price cannot be beat.

I do also agree that the power is limited. 5 volts is less than I would like and I would prefer higher watts. If you are currently diggin the clearomizers or cartomizers, it will certainly do just fine.

As previously stated, If your getting into genesis, kayfun, drippers or other rebuildables, you may want to seek an option that offers a little more power. My RSST runs at 2.5 ohms and I vape it at 5.3-6.0 volts on the Provari. MVP wouldn't be able to accomplish that. Sure I could lower my ohms on my builds, but there's a reason I have the ohms so high, which I'll keep to myself so we don't steer this thread off track.

I was able to pocket it just fine though. I'm an edc (every day carry) kinda guy and am on the edc forums too. Pocket space for me is very limited because I carry a flashlight clipped to one pocket, knife clipped to the other, phone with integrated wallet case, pepper spray (ASP defender), a little cigar case that holds zip ties, band aids etc; I carry my car keys, extra battery and my Provari. This all rides very nicely in my pockets believe it or not, and the MVP2 was slightly more cramped, but it worked. Worst case scenario, I left the pepper spray at home lol.

Form is a huge influence on your decision. You can see why it makes such a different to me, because I have a finite amount of room for "stuff."

The VV3 is a good recommendation if your okay with either smaller atomizers, or having a somewhat top heavy device that would be rocking a larger atomizer. Nothing wrong with that, I do hear good things about the VV3 as well.

For tube mods, I have no recommendations other than the Provari because I'm not altogether too familiar with them. Of what I've seen and researched, The sigelei seems to have a larger following, but that may just be me. SVD's seem fairly well built, albeit unattractive in my opinion.

I was looking at the Vamo v5. It seems to have everything I need without being to overpriced or flashy. Anyone have one or any opinions in general?

Hello,

I just bought a Vamo V5 had it for 2 weeks the 510 connector stripped already. I used to have the Vamo V2 and had the same issue, hubby found the 510 connector on line and replaced it. After I got my Vamo V5 I gave my son back the V2 well those threads stripped also. I really don't recommend the Vamo V5 or any Vamo until they figure out how to make the 510 connection not strip out. Yesterday I had enough and bought a pretty Itaste ll I am really liking it. The only thing wrong is I cant use my little ARO tanks with it. So I use the Vamo V5 for those. Eventually hubby is going to replace the top on my V5 then I am going to buy the air flow adjuster and hopefully my regular tanks will work again on it again. IMO I would go with the Itaste. (And I really didn't like the shape of the mod but I got one pretty cheep and its really not that bad. Hope this helps you make up your mind.

Peace,

Mushroomie

Before I got the MVP I was not a box mod fan and just liked tube mods but now that I tried the MVP i find that it is way more comfortable in my pockets vs a tube mod, for some reason they always wanted to fall at an angle in my pocket making it uncomfortable and weird looking lol. The MVP feels just like a pack of smokes which we all don't mind carrying in our pockets lol.

Vamos are just great. So is the MVP V2. I have 2 Vamo ssv2s and the MVP V2. Here's my take.

You will get the famous "rattlesnake" on the Vamo but imho it's a minor issue. We want to vape, right? Vamos allow you to do that really well. If you want "super-smooth" then no.

My MVP V2 vapes "super-smooth", but when the battery runs low I can't just sling another battery in it. This won't be a problem for a light vaper, but for me it's a bit irritating. I say make the battery bigger. It's a great vape but I want it to do more than it can re:battery life.

If you don't currently have a charger for 18650 batteries and haven't bought any such ba tteries then get two MVP v2s. You'll be fine. Otherwise have a Vamo for those moments/hours when your MVP is charging. They're both great devices. Mind you I also love Egos for dripping - I'm just a bit catholic in my tastes I suppose. :)
