Hello everyone, I am new here, my name is Heather. I have been vaping for 2 years now. I smoked cigarettes for over 20 years, and switched to an e-cig and have been cigarette free for 2 years. My son smoked an e-cig and after tryng his I descided to give it a try. I started with the small ego pens, they were cheap, but they wore out fast and it was nothing like my sons, which reminded me more of a regular cigarette. I switched up to a thick aspire battery with variable voltage and an aspire ets-bvc glass tank.
I am still learning though and my son has switched back to cigarettes, so he is not much help. I made the mistake recently of looking up pics of e-cigs that exploded and it has me afraid to make any mistakes with mine. I understand that anything with a lithum battery can explode, I also saw many pics of cellphones exploding and even laptops and tablets. I use the right charger, so I think I am good there. I always turn off the battery when I charge it and try to never overcharge.
My question is about ohms. I now have a vision 3 variable battery and use the highest voltage, I think its 4.8. I use an aspire ets-bvc glass tank. I usually use a 1.8 ohm coil. I recently bought new coils and realize they are 2.1, Are these safe to use with my setup? Thank-you, any advice would be wonderful!

Welcome @HeatherB

You are going to be AOK with that sort of set up. Never leave overnight, check your charger now and again for any wear or bad wires etc. Very safe as long as you don't take risks.

The ETS is an ideal sort of tank (size & look) for a Spinner battery. If you buy lower ohms it will make the vapor more powerful at the same volts setting, so you can/might 'twist' the volts down. Those batteries can only make so much power, so the lower the ohms, the more likely turning up the battery won't do anything as the battery has reached it's maximum. I noticed this with 1.8ohm coils. I still used them but found they could only go so far.
Also, the BDC atomizers are not as good as the new BVC atomizers. The BVC can go higher without burning and leak less from my experience. You can fit Aspire BVC 'coils' into your ETS but I found it wasn't 100% reliable.
if you should have problems of leaks or burning, you could look at two newer design tanks.
Aspire K1 (small BVC coils) and
Aspire mini Nautilus BVC (bigger BVC coils).

Both are good. I'd say the majority of people end up with the mini Nautilus as it holds more liquid and is a little better with things like airflow and taste.

Good luck with your vaping. Congratulations on 2 years. :)

Great job on 2 years! As everyone already posted, the coils you received will be fine. As to safety, follow the precautions printed in the teeny tiny, almost impossible to believe it say's anything booklet it came with, and exercise common sense. Use the correct charger (the one it came with or equivalent), avoid stuff like leaving it in the car to bake in the sun when the interior of your car can reach 140 degrees (not good for your juice, either), don't try to use it if you drop it in the water, and you'll be fine.
