I am trying 18 mg nic and 12 also at the same time to find the right one that is good for me going back and forth between the two. A friend brought me a 12 mg nic level with 70/30 pg/vg. Which is why I am curious on why a 18mg 50pg/50vg was not making me sick and a 12mg 70/30 did

There were no other variables changed(number/frequency of draws from the ecig, wattage, etc.)? If no other variables changed than perhaps your body doesn't like the PG, as mentioned above. That does seem strange though.

Stick with it you'll be healthier and save money in the long run, and you'll probably find a huge variety of flavors that you can enjoy/get your fix from that you never would have expected. I don't sub ohm (although I do have a tank capable of doing so) because I am getting more than enough vapor/nic/throat hit while non-subohming 6 mg ejuice. Some folks who are more knowledgable about sub-ohming and your device specifically will surely be by to help you figure it out.

Also this may be kind of a "duh" answer but have you considered the possibility that you're vaping too frequently and too much per vaping session? Have you considered identifying the minimum you need to vape to curb nic urges, and just hitting that point and stopping? The point at which nic urges cease may be an amount that's way less than the amount your consuming and causing headaches. It's easy to just mindlessly vape without savoring the experience and you may just be taking in more than you need to curb your nic urges. I know, because I'm working on vaping less and savoring it more right now.

Yeah I ended up using a 2/3 0 nic with 1/3 18mg nic. If I vape to much in one sitting I will end up dizzy in a 20 min 15 draw sitting -10 mins about 10 draws is doing good right now. The headache has got to be coming from the lack of sticks. I am only smoking 5 Marlboro 27 100's a day compared to the pack to pack and half a day. Just ordered 0 nic to mix with my other high nic levels

Welcome to the party, Cagirl! Vaping is a whole different beast than pulling that smoke from a pack and "flicking your Bic". There will be some trial and error in this endeavor. But, you nailed it with mixing down the 18.

I, too, wished I'd have hit this forum a lot harder before I started buying stuff - got quite a few things that I don't really like/use any more because I didn't do homework first. Now, I'm sailing - plenty of GOOD options at my disposal.

Finding the right juice is definitely the most difficult. I finally got into DIY so I could have it "my way". BUT, I didn't know what that was for awhile.

One thing that "helped" me was the realization that I'd spent enough money on vape-y stuff that I was no longer willing to spend money on cigarettes. I just vaped through - as long as I have "something" in my hand, and I get the same tactile sensations (hand-to-mouth, inhale/exhale) I've not had another cigarette. I have thought about it - just wondering what one would be like - just never acted on it :)

Patience, Grasshopper :) Lots of folks here willing and able to help.

Great to hear about the progress! Congrats!

I am new to vaping and had no idea the variables that went into sub ohm or the risks I ordered aspire platinum kit and the sub ohm was the mod it came with. I am using a 50/50 mix 18 mg and 12 mg nicotine level. I have been a cigarette smoker for 23 years and is using this a way to cut back and eventually quit regular cigs. Do I continue using aspire or change to something else. I am not looking to "cloud chase" as I have read. Just looking to move away from cig and to slowly take my nicotine levels down progressively. I was recently given a 70/30 mix with a nicotine level of 12. Should I even try it in my aspire sub ohm.

If the 'sub ohm' is the mod, then that just means that the mod is capable of high power.

If the coils that come with your aspire kit are less than 1 ohm, then those are sub ohm coils.

I found that mixing down the higher nics with AG dilute solution worked for me. As I went down through the nic levels i traded the hit for more vapour. like you i started at 18mg but when i started vaping on a subtank i moved down to 12mg as i used more juice. I slowly mixed that down to about 9mg and so on until im at 3mg now. It only took me a couple of weeks but i think the clouds give me a sort of placebo effect
