So I've been using an off brand 510 for about 3 weeks now and I really want something new/better. I'm thinking about a DSE 905 or a Wetbox. So to the questions...

I read the Wetbox has had its switch updated, is this true? If so is it more reliable?

I need a good throat hit, the only way I seem to be able to get good TH is dripping or using a LR atty. Do LR cartos give a good TH? I have yet to use and was thinking about using with the DSE or wetbox.

Is the fact that I get bad vapor production/TH from my 510 have something to do with my 510/attys/cartos. Like is it possible that I just got a bad batch or is vapor production/TH just not very good to begin with?

I can get the DSE 905 kit from madvapes for 40 dollars, which seems like a great deal.

I don't know anything about a DSE 905 and have never used a wetbox (am not interested).

My perfect setup is an eGo 900mAh battery with KR808D-1 cartomizers using a 510-batt to 808/901-atty adapter and vaping the liquid mixture shown in my signature. Took about two weeks to find this setup after buying a couple of cheap 510 starter kits that became worthless during that time. Most of my batteries and parts/cartos have been bought at litecigusa.net and liquids from freedomsmokeusa.com.

I've heard bad things about the quality of the wetbox. I had a DSE-905 V3 and V4. I really liked the v3, I was able to use lr attys with it. Unfortunately the top burnt out rather quickly. Within 2 months I would say. Then I bought a v4 top and it doesn't work with lr attys. The v4 DSE-905 became useless to me and i then sold it. I would suggest the copper for a budget mod. I personally use a BB from altsmoke and love it. I had also noticed the GGTB is down to $75, might be worth it to look into it.

The 510 is a decent PV even with a regular atty as long as you keep the battiers charged up really good you should be able to get decent TH and lots of Vapor. If your atties work and your batteries are charged, it's more likely that your liquid is at fault. Or it could be that dripping and using a lr atty just spoiled you. Dripping or using a lr atty or carto will usually give you better th. The biggest advantage to using either the screwdriver is it's battery. The 14500 is a great battery and it stays in power much longer so it will give a good consistant hit longer. Same for the Wetbox but then you get the added advantage/disadvantage of it being a fed device and that's a whole other story. I haven't owned one so I can't really say if that's a good thing or not. If it really works it would be a good thing but opinions vary on how well it gets the job done. Also keep in mind that if you keep using LR atties on your 510 you will most likely kill the switch on it. They are not rated high enough to handle the extra drain. You should be fine using an LR on either the screwdriver or wetbox. For myself I just stick with a simple box mod with a 14500 battery some days I feel like dripping some days I use an LR Cartomizer.

As for MadVapes they are great, you can't go wrong with them as a company no matter what. They ship fast and cheap and in the case that something does go wrong they will get it right in no time. Great bunch of guys.

Why doesn't the V4 work with LR attys?
