I've decided on the so called "genuine" eGo-C for my upgrade after considering eGo-T and KGo.

Does anyone know who carries the Joye eGo C for the best price including shipping to Canada?

I am comparing stuff like:

$65.99 USD (includes shipping)
EGO-C Starter Kits - Free Shipping
They also have the variable voltage for an extra $10

$99.97 (includes 30 ml juice) + shipping
NicFitNation.com - Canadian supplier of e-cig kits, parts, accessories, and e-liquids - The eGo-C starter kit

and the list goes on and on - seems most Canada and US sellers are in the $80-110 range.

I just want the genuine one for a reasonable price. The 65.99 USD seems to good to be true.

Does any one have any advice before I buy. I will probably err on side of caution and go with Canadian seller who is
on that list of trusted suppliers. Easy to get lured by deal and over-analyze .. would of paid that extra 30 bucks
anyways to some gas station inside a few days for the analogs, after all.

why - what is the benefit of the VV? I have heard it lets you "tune" it just the way you like or something like that

The eGo-C with VV has 3 VV modes; something like 3.2,3.7 & 4.2? volts. Some higher voltages will allow you to have warmer vape and sometimes more vape with depending on juice. I prefer to vape at 3.8-4.0 with my lavatube. The only thing I do not like about the eGo-C VV is that it does not seem to have an off button. On the regular model you just hit the switch 5 times to trun off/on therefore it will not fire by accident in your pocket. I think the voltage of my eGo-C is 3.4V (3.3V under load). Please be advised that the voltages I quoted may not be correct; they are from memory and it is getting late so I may be wrong.

Genuine Joye stuff will be branded, won't be VV or have a display, always has a white (or two-colour white/blue in the case of the eGo-C) button, and will never be cheap because Joye sets minimum pricing for authorized Joye resellers. (Switched actually got warned by Joye for selling too cheaply a few weeks back.)

So basically don't expect to get a genuine Joye eGo-C for under $75-80 or so. From my perspective, Joye does build quality, no doubt about it (my very first genuine Joye eGo is still in service, though not by me) but considering you can get similar kits for nearly half what Joye demands, even if they lasted half as long they can still be worthwhile. You can always get a cheaper battery, then buy a couple of cones and a pack of atty heads and have your own half-Joye kit. :)

If it helps, NicFitNation definitely sells genuine Joye products. The owner is a pretty cool guy and a good vendor. NFN was my vendor of choice for hardware back when I started.

There's also a coupon code if you look for it online.

It's also worth noting that cheap-vaping.com doesn't explicitly state the Ego-C is Joye. That should always be your first sign. In my opinion, if a vendor is selling JoyeTech products, they will make sure the consumer is aware of it on the product page.

I like my 1000mAh ego-c kit, but the price of 3 extra cones(it comes with 2) so you can have 5 dedicated tank/cone/atty set ups to rotate flavors is a bit steep. But I guess you can look at buying the extra cones as an investment for easy flavor rotation, then just clean or replace the attys as necessary. That is the whole point of the ego-c...... easy to clean or replace the little attys. Add a couple of vision stardusts and you'll never run out of flavors.

ego c = 3.4 regulated with a SR Atty and an ego tank system which = epic fail

You would get a much better vape with a kgo and some LR cartos. Less frustrating, less hassle, better vape.

sent from my ice cream sandwiched Samsung fascinate

Thanks for the advice, I have had similar advice re the advantages of kgo vs ego and, like you, the kgo advocates are very confident about this and have a what looks like a really strong case - which makes me really pause. Someone should write a blog about this topic, its really interesting how this "knock off" has become considered by many a vast improvement over the original. I haven't heard too many knocks against the kgo ..
