"Usually" the higher the PG, the more flavor you get. There are exceptions but that is the norm.

Were you able to taste the liquid when you first started vaping? It may be your tastebuds haven't recovered yet from regular smoking, that is if you smoked previously.

Occasionally, it has happened that a vaper will lose taste now and again when vaping too much... There are a number of variables. it could also be the juice doesn't have a high flavor compound.

I would read some reviews on liquids and try some that are reveared as having a lot of flavor... That may help.

I think everyone gave really good advise... Let us know what you think of the "Gourmet" line.... The biggest questions my friends ask, is what juices to buy? I have to explain what "I like might not be what you like" I've been lucky to have experienced friends steer me in the right direction and bought some really good Juices from reputable companies such as Tasty Vapor, Hi-Caliber & Diy Flavor Shack, strong flavors, very little steeping (if any needed)
Hope you find one that works for you,

If you like fruity/candy flavors GV's Watermelon Jolly Rancher is spot on. Can't vape it all day but it's accurate and a fun change once in a while. I got triple flavor. I wouldn't recommend triple. The peach cobbler is popular. I use their Gorilla Vanilla to fix some other juices to make them vapable. Good luck on your juice hunt. 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG should give you more flavor.

This is what we all go through. It is just your taste buds coming back to life after smoking all of those analogs. this will come and go for awhile. I know it is frustrating but hang in there. It will get better with time. In the meantime I can throw a few suggestions your way. Try fruity or sweet flavors if you like them as this will stimulate your taste buds more. another suggestion would be to find a vendor who sells extra flavoring with their e-liquids. This will make the flavor jump out more so you can taste it better. I had to do this quite often till my taste buds started working again. Another option would be to make your own e-liquids if you feel comfortable giving it a try. It isn't really hard to do. There are all kinds of free-eliquid calculators that can help you calculate your mixtures and some great receipes over in the DIY section at the forum.

True that...play "mixologist" a bit...the variations are limitless!

I have the same problem. I can't taste much of anything. cinnamon and mint are about it. maybe banana.
anyhow, I have found that cartos really dull the flavor for me, so I usually use the atty and drip tip. This make me sad because I really like mt boge lr cartos- great vapor.
anyhow, I have tried many samples from honeyville and vapor god. nothing. moved up to extra flavor with top shelf. nothing. got in at KBV and dropped over $100- extra flavor. nothing. now I just got some deejstuff- got 175% flavoring. have not had much time to try these but so far- nothing
waiting for an order from voidmist-they let you order an extra bottle of flavoring for pretty cheap

again- if you can, try an atty sometime. flavor difference is night and day for me

of the ones I have tried, I can taste chocolate mint from vapor god, cinnamon(but I don't really care for it and some make me cough) best so far is the snickerdoodle from KBV. extra flavor. It has a slight cinnamon taste that comes thru. I don't recommend thier choc mint flavors- they are pretty weak. gooey butter cake, monkey bread and all the others that everyone raves about are flavorless

and, it has been over a month for me, and my taste buds have not gotten any better. I think that theory is a little overrated around here. sorry, I am just frustrated. I want to taste the goodies like everyone else. I was only smoking for about 4 months before I switched so I don't think there was that much damage to them

The higher the PG, the more flavor and hit comes through.

Re taste - what flavor, what brand? Your tongue can only taste sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami (MSG). So unless your eliquid has one of those flavors, there is nothing to taste. You have to smell the vapor. Also, it is vapor, not food. A blueberry vapor is not going to taste as strongly sweet/sour on the tongue as a real blueberry. And without smelling it, ALL you will get is a bit of sweet/sour on the tongue. When you smell it, it should smelly like blueberry. This is how real food works too. By taste alone, a sweet onion and an apple taste the same. Cigarettes dumped their aroma all over you. With ecigs YOU have to remember to smell the vapor.

Things that can keep you from tasting - too much VG, not enough flavor in the juice, food/beverage flavors in your mouth, drinking hot liquids or alcohol, you don't have your tastebuds back yet, vaping the same liquid over and over and over, dirty atomizer, singed cartomizer

Things that can keep you from smelling - wind or fan blows the vapor away, other smells around, vaping the same liquid over and over

dormouse, I usually get 80/20

I exhale thru my nose. I have tried the little extra suck in of air after I inhale trick.

the juices themselves smell great- they just don't taste like anything

I think thats just the way it is for some of us. In my case I am 99% sure that my tastebuds are fine. food tastes fine, and like I said, I was only smoking for 4 months on this last round. maybe even only 3

How frustrating! I wonder what's causing this?

I have the same issue really. I can only taste extreme flavors or things that are off. I have no problems with menthol or other minty type liquids either. My first batch of DIY spearmint had me tasting gum for a week after I tossed it out. But most other flavors other than caramel cappuccino, I cannot taste at all. I guess that's why I vape mostly unflavored DIY juice.
