Need an all day Vape that works....please

Hello....yes Im a newbie :) I started smoking ecigs and was stuck smoking 2 analogs a day and was discougaged....I needed something with more vapor, more throat hit , more flavor, yet wanted something relatively simple. I did some reasearch and opted for the Volcano Inferno.

I DO NOT like this thing. While the starter kit offered a lot, and the batteries do last a long time. The tube tank/carto set up is horrible. I researched on how to prime the carto and still got dry hits/burnt taste.I do have a syringe... I made the hole in the carto bigger and let it sit priming overnight, do primer hits every 5th or 6th hit and still get dry hits. Trust me...I have tried everything... THIS THING IS DRIVING ME NUTS.

I'm not sure if because it's not a true EGO battery if it's compatable with any other tank of if I need to start with another kit entirely...and if that is the case I am totally fine with that. I just want something that works for me. This thing...is awful.

Any advice is appreciated. Please keep it simple as I am a newbie.

I'm fairly new to vaping myself but I found the Kanger EVOD pretty quickly and really am loving it so far. You do have to do some maintenance/cleaning daily of the air hole. I just clean mine out with a q-tip or pipecleaner when I go to refill the clearo - really its not that much of a hassle to stay off the death sticks. It doesn't cause me any issues or whatever throughout the day and the taste is really nice. And bonus it came in purple!! I really love it.

I just ordered a protank and an ego-twist so I can't comment on those but the protank is built like the evod while being made of pyrex so you can use it with more types of juices. Can't wait to give it a try.

FWIW hope it helps!

Hi Chelles, First welcome to the ECF. Second I'm sorry you are having issues, lets see if we can get you off to a better start.

The battery simply supplies voltage to the attached device. Unless the battery isn't producing output the problem is not there. So you know how to fill a carto, my suggestion is going to be really simple. Get a package of Boge or Smoktech cartos and a drip tip. I would recommend the Low Resistance version ~2Ω.... This will allow you some peace of mind (and an easy, reliable vape) while you explore other options that may be interesting to you. The tank seems to not be cooperating and therefore causing your grief. I have heard of others with the same carto tank with similar issues. Start there and branch out if you feel you need to.

The drip tip will allow you to monitor when its time to top off your carto, all you have to do is keep them moist and you will be much better off than where you are now. You could even give it a try with the cartos you have ,just put the tank on a new carto, fill the carto and vape. every so often pop off the drip tip and add a few drops of liquid until the top appears moist again. Vape and repeat as needed.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Need to ask a few questions.

Are you using single coil or dual coil cartomizers in your tank? If you are using dual coil cartomizers, try some single coil carts before giving up on a cartotank. I found the dual coils to often give a harsh, burnt taste. Since I made the switch to single coil cartomizers I very rarely experience the harsh burnt taste I got from the dual coils.

What ohm rating (resistance) are the cartomizers. Low resistance cartos (1.5 ohm to 2.0 ohm) will make a warmer vapor, and may make some flavors taste burnt. Try some standard resistance cartos (2.0 ohm to 2.5 ohm) for a cooler vapor.

Different brand cartos may help. The two major brands are Boge and Smoktech. If you can find some Ikenvape cartos in stock, that's even better.

I don't know what method you are using to set up your cartotanks, but I urge you to try this method which has been extremely successful for myself and others: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

For a large list of online vendors that sell pre-punched single coil cartomizers: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

First of all.....thank you all for the input :) and the warm welcome

I'm currently use a 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizer, it's the standard one that comes with the tube tank.....I had NO idea I could use a single coil!!! NICE ....I think I will give that a try and go for the 2 ohm and see if I don't have better luck. I do know that my batteries are functioning properly. It's definaetly the carto...after reading many reviews on the cartos....so many people are having issues with them.

I have a trip planned home (to CT) and the area that I'm visiting has 3 vape shops in the immediate area I'm going to pick up a few cartos while checking out what other things that might work for me. I'm just not happy with this thing in general. In the near future, I want more vapor, more power etc.....but at the moment will settle for no more dry hits, or burnt flavor.

You can get laser prepunched single coil Boge cartos--I use them and I like them. BTW, once your cartomizer tastes burnt, it's toast. Throw it out and grab a new one.

That said, I too find carto tanks a bit fiddly. I second the recommendation for Kanger BCC clearomizers--T3, baby T3, eVod--they are all nice and much more user friendly. Once the coil gets all gunked up, you just pop a new one in and you have a brand new clearo. Dirtly coils clean up well--a nice soak in PGA or vodka is really all it takes.

Good luck!

Here's another vote for the Kanger Protank. I don't know what your budget is, but here's the stuff I use, and I got it on a starving writer's budget:

Innokin iTaste VV
Kanger Protank + 4-pack of Low Resistance replacement heads
5-pack Boge LR cartomizers
1 "blank" (empty, that is) bottle with needle tip

What I thought you meant by all-day vape was that you were looking for juice suggestions. That's a whole 'nother kettle of fish, but what I can tell you is that if you're a fan of tobacco, you'll probably really enjoy Hurricane Vapor Sunshine Cured Tobacco. Very reasonable prices on their offerings, plus vapor, flavor and throat hit are just phenomenal.

I have to agree with this sound advice. Clearomizers are great, but can be fiddly (IME). After using Evods for 6 weeks, I have gone "old school" for awhile and am enjoying the simplicity of BOGE 510 LR Cartos with a cool drip tip (not even a tank.) As a noob of only 6 weeks, I still want to try all the fabulous juice I have. Cartos are making it fun to try a lot of flavors without using up a lot of juice. I have commitment issues when it comes to juice. It's fun to go old school and at $1 a carto (w/ the 5-pack deal from surevapes), it's a good deal. Give them a whirl for a nice change of pace until you decide what juice and delivery system you can "commit" to. Sometime soon I am going to start dripping, but cartos are a nice baby step in that direction.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!
