About a month ago I got my first PV, a Joye 510. Just like you, I was unhappy with the battery.
I've since upgraded to a Hello Ego. The battery is rated 650mha, and when dripping it vapes like a crack ..... on new years eve
The starterkit came with 2 batteries and the most they need to be charged is once a day. The charge quickly in around 2 hours.
Some points to consider:
- If you're getting an Ego / Riva / Tornado StarterKit, make sure you get a kit where the cone does not restrict air flow. A Hello Ego cone is known to restrict air flow, and because of this cannot really be used for daily vaping. You can remove the cone, but it doesn't look the same.
- If you're not getting the starter kit, just batteries you might be wondering what the talk is about adapters. Here is the thing : The Ego / Riva / Tornado batteries fit 510 cartomizers and atties just fine. No adapter needed. However the 650mha battery or greater won't charge using a 510 charger. You will need to buy a charger that is capable of charging these higher rated batteries.
- Consider getting a passthrough if you vape a lot around a pc. I had one and it produced a decent amount of vapor. Certainly would save you on batteries. I would have to say that my Hello Ego battery is more reliable than the PT. If you can find a very good PT though, its a good item to have incase of battery failure.
Wow! where do you get those?Go for it.
After using the manual 510 batteries, I got a 650mah battery and it is the bomb. Charged my battery the first day, vaped on the way to work, worked/vaped on a 12.5 hour shift, vaped on the drive home, all ont he same charge, batt never died.
I'm loving it.
Hellos do not use cones. There is a cone shaped atty, I haven't heard of them restricting airflow though. Beyond that I say go for it on the eGo et al.
Also, hellos are 1300mAh, not 650. The standard eGo is 650
Hello Ego's do use cones. Hello 016's I can't comment on. "Hello" is just the brand name (Chinese HelloSmoke to be exact) like Acer or Sony.

I've decided to build my own box mod, going to be using 2 1800mAh batteries and some type of box that has yet to be decided. Thanks all for the input, much appreciated.
