I am a MTL vapor and a Toodle Puffer but I want more flavor not power or clouds

I have many RTA's and made my own coils foe 2 years with Kanthal
Usually coils are 1.25 and 15- 20 watts

I want to try a clapton or similar but not sure what size to get or fused or non fused and what type of material
I think I want a pre built
And what is the best and cheapest place to buy

Thanks in advance Larry

Clapton coils are not really suited to low wattage vaping as they require higher power levels due to their mass. If you are looking for more flavor you may want to consider trying an RDA. I can recommend the Haze Mini or the Tugboat V2 which I have found to be both excellent for flavor. Use a single micro coil and crank down the airflow. Clones of both can be picked up for under $15.

If you absolutely, positively want to try a Clapton coil, you can buy premade coils from a online retailer like VaporTek or on Ebay. You can get premade Clapton wire where you can make your own coils from Youde or Geekvape, which is sold by many online retailers. Cost wise you are looking at around $5 for 10 coils (.9Ω, 28/32) from Vaportekusa.com, which is comparable to the prices on Ebay, or about $7 for 5 meter of Clapton wire by Geekvape (also 28/32). If you want to stay closer to 1Ω, sonicbomb makes a good point that your wattage that you are used to will probably need increasing due to the slower ramp up time of a Clapton coil.

Since you are used to higher resistances, starting with 28ga wire for the core would probably be the best for you.

I have a feeling fused Claptons would be too much of a jump for you, as due to the multiple core nature, they are much lower resistance than a similarly sized single core Clapton.

I have some premade 26/32 Clapton wire from Geekvape that a friend sent me...honestly, I prefer my own Claptons. But is it better than a standard microcoil? Putting the ramp-up and power requirements aside, in my experience it is.
