OK I decided to try this one
PV5S640SS E-Switch | EG4729-ND | DigiKey

Hope it works out. Thank you for all your help, everyone. (I do have a mosfet inline so it won't burn out)

You dont really need a mosfet for that switch. It is more then capable of handling the amps used vaping. 48 volts 2 amps = 96 watts now lets say the working voltage is 6 volts, so 6 volts 96 watts = 6 volts 16 amps way more then enough to vape with. Really a mosfet only needs to be used if you have a switch that cant handle the amps. the small tactile switches are rated @ 24 volts .05 amps = 1.2 watts. most folks vape around 7 to 10 watts so using those small switches directly is why they burn out for folks fairly quickly.

Re: E-SWITCH - PV2F240SS - PV2 - ANTI-VANDAL SWITCH FLAT - Straight Road Electronics ...great Link Java, thanks

Your welcome Quigs

Just be sure not to confuse a mosfet with a voltage regulator. they look exactly the same

I asked him and he said it has one in it because we used those little cheap buttons that hurt my fingers posted above in post 13. Then these bigger ones that I can't remember where I got them, but they don't last very long. He's just been changing the buttons in this one for me.

He went to the trouble to make a touch switch and it sit here gathering dust cause I don't like to lick my fingers.

I'm hoping this new button will make me happy.

Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
