I guess I don't know much about the Aspire battery - I've not really seen many posts about it. It could be a perfectly good enough battery, but I don't like recommending something I don't really know about.

As for the e-liquids, it's just so subjective that I would hate to recommend one in particular. I have experience with Liqua (it's an Italian brand made mainly in China) and it's good enough. I like their tirimasu flavor, green apple was a bit too chemically for me and I didn't like any of their tobacco-like flavors, but that's about all the experience I have with them.

I don't know anything about Canadian Goose, sorry.

You know there is a Canadian national forum here on ECF? You'll need 15 posts to ask questions there, but you'll be able to read the threads and maybe get some better local information for yourself. Find it here Canada Forum

Thanks! I will go through that Canadian forum for sure. About the batteries, I will create a new threat here asking for people's experience with them.

By the way, I forgot to ask about the suitable density of nicotine in the liquid for a person like me who used to smoke 5 cigarettes a day.

I have an Aspire CF VV battery (not the plus) and an MVP2. both are great. The Aspire CF is my go-to when I'm on the road each day - the charge lasts ALL day and it's easy to slip in and out of my backpack as I'm going into customer sites. it also has built in over-charge prevention (at least that's what the instructions say). On the other hand, the MVP is rock-solid. I love being able to simply set the wattage i want and it does all the voltage calculation for me. with 4 tanks of varying coil resistance, it makes it real easy to swap out on the fly.
