id like to invest in a spare battery to eliminate/reduce downtime between charging.

i have a joye ego c-twist. i think its the 1000mah model but im not sure. its about 4-5 inches long

if the life/performance is negligible between batteries with this threading, id definitely prefer to spend less on the backup.
if the life/performance could be greater with a slightly more expensive battery, id take that into consideration too

what are my options?

thanks in advance

I have a 1300mah vision spinner as a back up to a backup. If you have the money to spend and want an insane battery... I'd say get a MVP2. I swear by mine.. It's 2600mah and you can even charge your phone off it if you choose. I haven't charged my MVP2 in 4 days and I'm a heavy vaper.. I bought it for when I go to the field and need tons of battery.

thanks guys

on first glance the shape of the mvp2 is a deal breaker for me. ill keep it in mind for future reference if i ever decide to try a box-shaped one.

It was for me too.. I bought a SID first.. I love my SID but since I bought the MVP2 my SID is now a backup.

DV Twists
DV brand Twist batteries are outstanding. They are actually better quality than Joyetech brands at a much lower price. I use the 900mah batteries, and they last quite a bit longer than my Joyetech 900mah Twists. They are also slightly smaller, which just makes them even better. Not sure if this makes a difference for you, but the DV Twist retains the 10 second cutoff of the Joyetech Twists, whereas the Vision Spinner, Kanger EVOD VV, and Smoktech Winder all have 8 second cutoffs.

thanks for pointing that out. id like to retain the 10 second cutoff

i also wanted to mention that ive not used the variable voltage feature very often. its been on the same setting (3.6v) for a couple weeks now. is there any difference between the quality of a standard battery and a variable voltage one?

I rarely use the VV feature myself, as it stays on 3.6V. That's just my personal sweet spot.

The standard Joyetech eGo batteries are set to ~3.3V.

The build quality is the same throughout the Joyetech line. Quality control is usually pretty good on batteries, no matter which manufacturer you buy from, but lemons still get through, so YMMV. That's why it's important to buy from vendors that offer at least a 30 day exchange policy on batteries, which most reputable vendors have anyway.
