short and sweet to the point: I need a clearomizer that will:
A) be rebuildable (i dont want disposable ones that get thrown in the trash. id like to replace the atomizer and continue to use it.
B) work correctly with an egoc 1000mah and an ego-c 1000mah twist (variable voltage). meaning i dont want it to have issues contacting my ego-c battery (my problem with the vivi-nova v2)
c) doesnt leak or give burnt taste. etc

if you're interested in the background story read on:

Im oh so frustrated with my ego-c. it seems like one headache after another. i was unhappy with my tanks that came with the ego c. some leak. some dont. atomizers dont last very long. etc.

So i ordered a vivi nova v2. worked great at first but over time the pin kept getting pushed down too far now its to the point (short of breaking it) i cant get the vivi-nova to make contact with the pin (or whatever its called) in the battery.

so i give up on the vivi-nova. its too much of a pain. as of now i cant get it to make contact anymore.

in all honesty though...the vivi-nova does perform very well (when it would make contact with the battery) great vapor production. no leaks. pretty powerful atomizer. easy to use. no burnt taste up to 4.6 on my vv 1000mah ego-c. at 4.8 you do get a bit of a burnt taste. this was a standard resistance atomizer. all in all (minus my issue with it pairing with the ego-c) id give it a solid 9/10. also easy to fill, easy to clean.

and before someone says (pull up the pin) ive tried and tried but now its to the point where i cant pull it up high enough and i dont want to chance damaging my battery. i applied a pretty fair amount of force with a mini flat head screwdriver for about 30 mins (not constantly but you can understand my frustration of spending a half hour trying to get it to work.)

so i decided i need something more ego-c friendly.

The easiest way I've found to adjust the pin is to remove the atty head. look down the air shaft and you will see the top of the pin and just push that down. I use needle nose pliers and it works great and takes very little force. This will extend the vivi pin to touch your battery.

ive tried everything. is there not another clearomizer that performs as well as the vivi nova but is more suited to the ego-c? (without all the extra hassle?)

i really like how the vivi nova works as far as how it functions and how easy it is to clean/fill etc but i was frustrated to the point of nearly picking up analogs yesterday after 30 min of unsuccessfully getting it to make contact. i still have half a pack laying around that i havent touched since i quit in feb and for the 1st time since i quit i was highly tempted.

right now im back to using the stock ego-c setup.

My advice for you is to buy a pack of these:

510 Ultimate CE2 Clearomizer XL

These things aren't really rebuildables but you CAN take them apart, clean them, dry burn them and they are as good as new. I've got some of them I've been using for 6 months. At about 10$ for 5 of them, I don't think you can beat this. I have several eGo and kgo batteries and can say I've never had a contact issue with these clearos.

Consult youtube for the cleaning and taking apart. I can clean one fully in under five minutes.

ooooh i must have misunderstood wat nerve said.

so you're saying the pins in the vivi-nova itself can be pushed down? will it make consistent contact with the battery using that method?

i really dont want to damage the battery thats why im asking.

i gave up on the vivi yesterday but if this indeed fixes the problem then im sticking with it.

so i just unscrew the atomizer and use something to push downward inside the vivi nova? ( i dont have it infront of me right now so im just double checking what im supposed to do)

Replaceable Stardust and/or Mini Vivi Nova - the real Vision products, although some knock-offs work well too. Here are pictures of a Stardust and Mini Vivi Nova my wife was actively vaping until I rescued them for refill. I get my stuff from Got Vapes or Litecig or Vapor Kings. The nice thing is that they both use the same heads.

By the way, no leaks.

i just wanted to come back and say thanks a lot. i got it working now. i was so mad yesterday haha. i cussed it out...threatened it with physical injury to no avail. today...less than 5 mins...boom. it works. thanks.

wheres the place to go for the cheapest cost vivi nova atomizers? (not knockoffs but actual vivi-nova atomizers?) hoping to find them for $2-3 each. willing to order in bulk if that drives the price down. (@ $5 a pop and for the amount of time they last the stock joyetech type b atomizers suck and are too expensive..i go through one in only a few days)

Have you tried the CE4 CC clearomizers? How do they compare with this one? I'm getting some leaks with the CE4 when I refill and tighten the black tip onto the top of it after the first fill up. Second fill up always has residue on the top and I get some gurgling (the juice is spilling into the downstem of the atty/cart).

Does this clearomizer have the same structure? It looks like it's thinner on the top so less spillage?

not really, except for the kanger...to be honest I'm not a big clearo guy,and the only ones I use is the novas because, quite frankly, they are the easiest to rebuild, and three months in, I'm still using the first head it came with (although I must admit to using cartos WAY more often.

Id say the vivi-nova is great. i did have the issue w/ my ego-c but as i found out on here the solution is actually quite simple (makes me feel stupid for spending 30 mins tryin to figure out how to get it to make contact with the battery)

i have the vivi-nova v2. i think its pretty slick. from my experience it has no leaks and its pretty simple to fill (you dont need a syringe to fill it) it comes apart easily for cleaning (and its also easy/quick to clean..5 mins tops) the atomizers in the vivi-nova are also cheaper than some others ive come across (like the stock type b atomizer heads for my ego-c...those are $5 each. ive seen vivi-nova replacement atomizers for as low as $3 or 3.50 on a reputable site)

the only downside ive heard of is possible tanks cracking from certain types of juice (i believe vapor kings has an aluminum replacement tube if that is a problem). mine personally hasnt cracked and ive had a cafe caramel, vanilla, and grape flavor through there without incident.

another issue was the one i was having (not making a connection to the battery). fix is simple and fast. take off the atomizer and use something to push that center pin down (so it sticks out further in the bottom of the vivi-nova). i used tweezers. 2 mins and fixed. just be sure not to push down to far or it wont screw in lol
