OK, so I vaped from beginning of 2009 until early 2010, then unfortunately started smoking again. I believe the reason both my husband and I stopped was at the time vaping was too much of a project. In order to get anything to work right you had to mod it with tea bags or straws etc. The dripping to me was nice but a pain. About two weeks ago for some unknown reason I picked up my Tornado PV again and I am down to 1 or 2 analogs a day, hoping to make it none soon.

While I was away there seems to be a ton of new and approved things to buy. On the top of my list is some kind of mod unit. I was originally looking at the ProVari, but from what I have read they are rather delicate (my husband drops his PV at least once a day) and the battery life doesn't sound all that great. It also seems a bit pricey. Finally the button pushing for the menu system sound like a PITA.

With a little research I have come across the Buzz and the Infinity and they both sound very promising. I also just finished reading the entire 32 page thread "Buzz Pro BETA Test results" and that sounds exciting as well. I do have some questions though.

What is the differences between the Buzz and the Infinity? What are the benifits of one over the over and the cons? When will the Buzz Pro be out? Is it worth the wait or does the buzz do much of what the pro does? Does the buzz have the thumb wheel to adjust the voltage like the infnity and the buzz pro? If not how hard is it to adjust?

When we started vaping again we purchased a few packs of 510 CE2 Clearomizer (they are OK, but a little on the weak side, at least with the Tornado batteries) and 4 TORNADO tank - 1.7 ohm LR Cone Shaped Atomizers. We are now down to 3 as one has already bit the dust! I also have 5 Clear tube LR dual coils 510's on the way, and have heard great things about them.

I am sure that the tank attys will not work with the Buzz or the Infinity and I have read the many posts that the DC's will stress the unit and are not necessary. So my question is, for someone who does not want to hassle with dripping a few drops on their atty every half hour and would much rather fill a cart of some type and not think about it again for several hours (or longer) which attys will work best with the Buzz (or Buzz Pro) and which with the infinity?

The Buzz has survived some awful torturous treatment at the hands of it's users and survived. Once being dropped 25 feet and hitting so hard the batteries were ruined but not the Buzz. The difference between the Infinity and the Buzz is looks and the Infiniity doesn't do well with LR cartos and attys.
The Pro Buzz and Infinity will have close to double the amount of vaping time as the original because they both have new technology inside. The difference in these two will be aesthetics as they will be the same on the inside.
The original Buzz has to be adjusted with a small screwdriver that is provided but the Pro will have a wheel that you turn to adjust it.
I too didn't care for all the fuss using carts and attys so I use the Fusion from Ikenvapes. It puts out tons of vapor and requires an adapter. His 808 megas hold mass juice so you can fill them and forget them for awhile and enjoy vaping. LR's like the dual coils aren't needed with variable voltage for one and they stress your batteries and equipment so I don't recommend them. In fact I've been testing LR for a couple of weeks and now have 2 and possibly three batteries that are now trash from LRs.

Here is a pic of my Infinity and my gold Buzz.

Thanks for the replies!!!

So if I understand correctly the infinity looks nicer then buzz (IMO), has the wheel, Is taller but thinner and does not do well with LR attys or Cartos.

The Buzz can handle LR, has no wheel and does not look as nice (again IMO), but is a bit shorter which might do well for my little hands.

I assume that the DC's will not work with the infinity either as these are LR as well (or are they, I believe I read some where that they are in the ball park 3ohm each, but considered LR because there are 2) All the new tech is hurting my head!

How does the Infinity do with the Fusion from Ikenvapes? I went to the IKenvapes site, but it looks like it is currently down for maintenance. How much are they and how long do they last? Are they clear? When you say they require an adaptor, I assume that is if I get the Buzz with the 510 fitting as I see the buzz has choices. I guess I would go with 510 as I have tons of those (close to 100) from my first run with with vaping, but I also have a ton of 801 (at least that is what I think they are) from my Janty Sticks.

I doubt there is a difference but I might as will throw it out there... here comes the stupid question... does it make any difference in performance if you purchase it with the 510 connection or the 801?

Still making sure I understand everything you posted, sounds like either PRO model will have the wheel and either will handle LR, the best of both units... Is there an ETA as to when they will be out. If it is just a matter of looks, I can get one of each and then my husband and I can switch back and forth until we decide which is the more comfortable fit. I do not mind waiting a little while for a PRO, but if iti s going to be months down the road, it might be worth it to buy now and upgrade later. Still cheaper then the 3 packs a day we were smoking between the two of us!

Well The Infinity is sold out, (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/notcigs/193408-we-out-infinities.html), so it's out anyway but the Pro will be such a nicer PV. I get around 8 hrs. or less on the Buzz and around 16 hrs. on the Buzz Pro plus it has the adjuster so no need to carry a screwdriver. You will be able to use DCs on either but again I wouldn't recommend using them on any PV (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-issues/189736-lr-harder-batteries.html). If your in a hurry you can still get a Buzz or wait 3 weeks for the Pro. The other thing for an Infinity now you can check the classifieds. I would wait for the Pro if the decision were mine. BTW that's a Fusion on my Gold Buzz on an adapter in the picture.
One more thing the Buzz Pro will have a different appearance. It is Blasted (I believe glass bead blasted) for a velvety finish and it won't have the three knurled bands that the Buzz has. It will have a choice of colors that someone will hopefully post as I'm not sure what colors was decided on. It will be the same size.
Maybe we can get Bovinia to post the picture of her infinity in her hand. Both of mine are scratched up from me dropping them.

The Buzz Pro will be out in about 3 weeks ( maybe 4 ? ) I have very few original Buzz;s in stock , they do have a great resale value however .
The PRO series will be able to run LR atts etc. down to 1.5 ohms @ 4 volts ( I know more tech stuff LOL ! )

The Infinity pro is about 6-8 weeks out

they will use the same batteries and chargers so there will be no loss of $$ having to rebuy new batts etc.

With VV ( Variable voltage ) there is NO NEED for LR stuff , you can adjust to the atomizer and TH and flavor !!! .

A lot has changed in the last year , Notcigs was the first company to put out a VV device and we are improving our product to a degree that it will be easy to use and very durable along with some of the most advanced controllers in any industry.

BUT you only need to turn the wheel to adjust it !!

everything else is under the hood so to speak.

If someone could or would post shots that give me an idea of what the proportions of each are, that would be really cool! One of the reasons I have stayed away from the mods for so long is they all look so big! I am tiny (4'11") and my tiny hands are proportionate.

OK... so the DC's already ordered will be used to kill the tornado/ego batteries I have while I patiently (or not so patiently) wait 3 weeks to order my PRO (which one I do not know)

That being said... Can someone suggest more atomizer choices that will enhance one or the other Pro... I want to try the Fusion, but want to know what ALL the options are! I'd love to find something clear (I like seeing how much juice I have left)that holds a ton of juice and is hassle free as possible and longevity is a plus!

Wow, three weeks that is a long wait, guess it will give me time to choose between the Buzz or the Infinity! The website says the Buzz will cost $139, any idea of what the Infinity will cost? Do you think there will be a waiting list, will it be like trying to buy a cabbage patch doll in the 70's or a new game console that comes out 3 weeks before Christmas?

Sorry for being such a pain, but this is a hard choice and now I am getting excited!

Thanks for the reply BuzzKill... looks like I was posting while you were so some of my above questions are now answered! 6 to 8 weeks... that might have helped make my up mind!

They look bigger than they are really !

Mike is right. I agonized for a long time over getting a Buzz last year because it looked so darn big and intimidating. I finally broke down and got one and was pleasantly surprised when I got it. You could always get a Buzz (before they run out) original while you wait for the Pro and resell it. One thing I promise is that once you try a Buzz you will never go back :)

Yeah I've heard that before Mike :p

Deciding between the Buzz and Infinity wasn't hard for me since I got my Buzz last Oct. and the Infinity was still just a glimmer in Mike's eye. I personally prefer the feel of the Buzz in my hand over the Infinity, but for others it's the opposite. Here'a a pic of my Buzz and Infinity together. Another pic of Big Chuck, Infinity, Buzz, small eGo knock off and a regular KR808.

Thanks Bovinia for the photos helped a bunch.

I think I am fairly sold on the buzz pro, instant gratification has always been my week point! I'll get two when they come out (one for me one for hubby) then maybe I'll have him buy me an infinity for Christmas (why not have a backup for a rainy day). Do you think they will sell out quickly or should they be fairly easy to get?

Now all I have to do is figure out what atomizer or cartomizer I will use and I am all set. I still need to figure out the differences with all the new attys and carts, but please, if anyone wants to share with me what they are using and why they like it, I'd love to hear!

The first run is for 500 units so we will have them in stock for a while , there is a thread here called Ce2 cartos etc. read some of it , 5CS is full of info as well .
