I've got the Blu Cig starter pack, and I enjoy it and don't want to return it, especially if I won't like some of the other options. That said, I'm not entirely happy with it. I've already bought some juice from juicyvapor, the 80%PG, 20%VG and I've been dripping as I feel I get more vapor that way. Anyway, the vapor is...ok but not enough, and not consistent at all. The vapor is more important than the taste or nicotine to me.

What I need:

The different ecig brands whose parts are compatible with the BluCig. I don't want to spend $60 or $100 to try another brand if there are some I can buy piecemeal, say a battery, atomizer and charger, since I already have blu carts and juice. That would, I imagine, make things cheaper. So, any brands compatible? What about with the PCC? Or the USB charger? I'm looking for good throat hit, small size (obviously due to the compatibility) and TONS of vapor. I want to not be able to see anything in the room from one hit (not realistic, just pressing the issue).

Alternately, if there are much better models that are different sizes and not compatible, BUT I'd be able to get started with cheaply, say, under $40 or so for just a charger, bat, atty and empty cart, then let me know that too.

Lastly, the juice from juicyvapor is ok, but not enough vapor (not sure if that's an issue with the juice or not) and after two or three weeks I started to taste an odd taste, like it's gone bad a little or something. Any suggestions on different juice vendors/flavors?

Lastly, for anything you recommend, please include the suggested store/website to buy from. There are a lot of shady looking sites out there, and I don't want to get screwed.

That was a monster post, if you stuck with it thank you. If you have suggestions thank you some more!

Grab some 306 cartomizers and bump your juice with some VG, and you may end up liking the Blu... by tomorrow at this time you'll have several people telling you to "Get an eGo"... But before you run off and do that, My suggestion is see what the cartos do for you before you make a big plunge, and in the meantime, look up Mistress Nomads vaping for beginners series...

By the way, as far as compatibility is concerned, the blue uses the same threads as the 306 and the 510... BUT the chargers are not cross compatible... so if you get some 510 or 306 gear, don't use the PCC or chargers on the new stuff, or vice versa.

I've had a Blu, and I have several friends with them, they can vape just fine once you get the right combo of carts, juice and knowledge.

I had my Blu, I like it for the fact that it got me into e-cigs, but for me it wasn't enough, though the buddy of mine I gave it to loves it. I know the blue atty and carts will work just fine with the 510 batt, you just can't mix and match the PCC's or chargers, and you can also try the blue foam cart mod on the Blu carts as well, that worked for me to get it closer to what I needed, but the Blu's batt life was it's major hindrance to me. I'd kill one batt before the other could finish charging and then it just got ugly while I waited, lol The other upside to Blu is that they are out there and seen more by the people that don't know much about E-cigs, so thankfully they are getting the word out about the joys of vaping.

i 2nd this post and i'd add that i don't know how long you've had it but it does take a few days for the atomizer in these smaller batteries to start functioning at 100% capacity.

I've had my Blu for about a month now. One of the atty's I think is broken, as it takes MASSIVE hits to get ANYTHING out of it. I tried cleaning it, but it's still the dud.

I currently drip, will using the blue foam mod or a cartomizer increase the vapor production? Do they make cartomizer's for the blu? Where should I research and possibly buy these 306, 510 and eGo? Thanks in advance.

Also where do you guys get your vapor from?

510 pieces/parts are compatible (NOT the chargers). I tried it yesterday. I hated the blu carts (If you don't already, you will when you try something else), so popping on a 510 atty/cart on a Blu battery yesterday was earth-shattering. If I ever need both my hands, I'll reach for the blu batt and keep the other charging. If you do the 510 and find you like it, you can add a battery or two to your collection.

That being said, you can get a 510 kit from Myfreedomsmokes.com for $42 -- 2 batteries, 2 attys, 5 carts, wall charger. The list price is $70, but use the code "smoke" at checkout for 40% off ALL hardware. Fantastic deal. And lots of parts!

Good luck :)

Well I went to CVS and bought one of the VG bottles there. I've mixed a bit of my JuicyVapor French Vanilla (Almost no taste to that one actually, with or without the VG) and some of the VG, about 60-40 French Vanilla to VG. So far the taste is even more non-existent, and the vapor is only mildly increased. Should I add more VG? Will it matter? I don't want to clog my atty as it's the only good one I have for now.

I ordered a starter kit 510 and an extra battery and atty, and I got a drip tip to see how that works since I always drip anyway. I paid the crazy price for the next day delivery because I am impatient. They got it to USPS by 9am this morning! Except it's expected to arrive on Monday, next day shipping my .....

Still, I'm excited. Thanks for the help guys.

Alright, I'm very surprised but I got my new 510 at noon today. For the first few hours it tasted weird, but I guess that's the atty primer. I've finally burned past that. The first thing I've noticed is that I have to hit it harder, but I get TONS more vapor. Not much taste, but that's probably the juice. It's a manual, which I actually like. The 510 is a lot longer than the blu, which I didn't realize.

Also I finally understand what people mean by Throat Hit. I thought it was just feeling the vapor go down, but it's kind of a tingly/burny sensation in the back of the throat that my blu never did.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, any recommendations for my new 510?

If vapor is your biggest priority, you'll need more power.
That means either higher voltage or lower resistance for your atomizers.

I seriously doubt you can mess with a Blu enough to get the clouds of vapor you are looking for.

I am going to suggest that if you MUST have something the size of a cigarette then go with a 510 model.
They have the lowest resistance atomizers of all the models out there.

And for the most vapor you should really get the manual battery so you have complete control over the length of your drags.

But if something the size of cigarette is NOT a must, then you have tons of options that open up to you.
There are so many I wouldn't even know where to start, but I could give it a shot if you are open to something larger.

At that point it starts to depend on a lot of factors that would need a number of other questions answered.
:)

I used to use a dart wallet to carry my 510s around, back when I was using those.
Search for "dart wallet" and you should find a bunch of threads with lots of other suggestions as well.

As for trying something bigger, now you're talking!!

If you don't want to go much bigger than cigar-sized, then check out the Ego/Riva/Tornado/Inferno type models.

If size is not a concern, then check this out and be prepared to have your head explode!
Best e-Cig Mod List | e-Cig Mods Database

The basic tradeoff at this point is going to be bigger batteries equals more time between charges.
My 18650 batteries can go 3 days before needing to be charged.
:)

What are your thoughts on size considerations?
How about shape considerations?

One thing to know, is that once you start using them, you start figuring out what you like and don't like.
Then you can make better, more informed decisions.
