Need help! E-juice leaking

Hello guys! So I'm new to this forum and I'm generally new to vaping, I'm sorry if this is the wrong category to post this but I didn't now where to post it.
So about a week ago, I bought my first vape in order to stop smoking and I went with the iJust Start Plus by Eleaf. So, starting off everything was well, my order arrived, I got my e-juice, filled up the tank and started vaping away with no issues.
So as time is passing, everytime I fill up the tank, for the first 10 drags eliquid is leaking from the airflow holes and the mouthpiece, resulting in getting eliquid on my hands and mouth (verysmall amount from the mouthpiece fyi). The atomizer also makes a bubbling sound. So after about 10 drags, everything goes to normal but my liquid drops a lot due to leaking of course.. So I need some help! I read in the manual that I should try to keep the amount thats in the tank within 10% - 90%, and I'm doing this but I'm still getting issues when I first fill it up

I'm sorry if I'm missing anything importand but I'm new to all of this, so thanks for any help provided!

This sounds worrying. It also sounds similar to the behavior of some other Eleaf tanks; flooding on refilling.
When you tighten it up (after filling) are you accidentally closing the airflow holes - is such a thing possible? (It is with mine). That doesn't help.
I also have to do some 'cleaning up' with tissue paper in the drip tip recess. Not had much more than a little liquid coming out the airflow though.... ??

Thanks for the quick reply! It is possible that I'm closing the airflow holes although I haven't really paid attention to tell you for sure. I forgot to mention I also hear the atomizer making some sound (pretty much the same as when taking a drag) when closing it up - does this have anything to do with all of this? I also clean it up with tissues but it really doesnt help much. Also, since you mentioned flooding on other eleaf tanks - My bud has an iJust 2 kit but he only gets leaks from the holes and not the mouthpiece

Says it comes with a air flow control ring like the iJust 2. Rubber band, put that on and cover the air flow? Be sure not to get any juice down the center when filling.

It sounds kind of like an over fill or juice in the wrong place.
Did that atomizer come with some plastic rings?

I do have the airflow ring on at all times and it does help but I want clouds cant cover the airflow completely. I also am careful to not get liquid down the center and whenever I do I make sure to clean it up so I dont know what the issue is here. However what I have noticed since I made the article is that when i fill it up and let it "settle" for like 5-10 mins before taking a drag it doesnt leak.. So im sticking to this method now but I wanted to ask if it makes any sense?? Anyway thanks for all the help, appreciated!!

Hmm when you say overfill.. I always try to not get liquid above the holes(which are for refilling) and always stop pouring liquid a bit below them.. Am i doing it wrong?

Oh I just mean close it when you fill it. Not really, usually tanks that flood do so when they have been sitting awhile. Make sure the coil is screwed on tight anytime you unscrew the bottom it could unscrew the coil enough to leak.

You want to leave a pocket of air. 90% full or it'll flood. Just watched a video for it, the guy fills it and says he put in to much and it'll probably gurgle lol.

Haha yeah it does gurgle. Ive read in the instructions that it needs up to 90% but I guess im still putting in more than that so ill put in less and see whats follows

It's bottom fill so air flow shouldn't matter. Also if your Air flow effects juice flow as well. Don't matter for most coils but with the old CL coils in my Tron/Ego One I needed alot of air flow for high PG so It wouldn't suck the juice in and almost closed for high VG to help suck it in. If it's only when you fill it though thats probably over filling.

Think of it like a water cooler. The jug on top needs a pocket of air thats full of negative pressure to create a vacuum. Other wise it would all rush out to create the vacuum seal. If it leaks when it's low their is to much air to keep the vacuum sealed.

Alright thanks for the help everyone! I started filling it with less juice, leaving more air in, and it hasn't leaked since. Problem solved!

try keeping airflow holes closed when filling the tank.
With some tanks it works like this, i never had any eleaf tanks so i'm not sure.
