There is this thing I'm very concerned about, my Eleaf ijust one starter kit e-cig is leaking in an unusual way. This is my first device and I already know it's not a really quality one and leaks A LOT. I've managed to stop leaking at some point by replacing the coil that came with it, it rarely leaks now, especially when I let it "heat up" a bit with a few drags until I start vaping, but recently it started leaking from the very bottom of the device, I mean from where the battery should be.. There is a tiny hole in there, but I doubt it is for the device to leak from? I started noticing it when the place it stands on the table had e-liquid. I checked the bottom part and there was juice coming out of that tiny hole. I knew the device was leaking on battery but how is it possible for it to get in there? from what I see from the air holes there is no place for liquid to drip in there? I tried searching but didn't find anything similar to this issue. This doesn't happen often, but then again, I don't touch it often anymore because I'm paranoid.

I'm still fairly new to vaping but this sounds like something to be concerned about..

First off, do not leave your mod in the car or in direct sunlight. That is the #1 cause of severe leaking. As your atomizer gets hot, the presure buildup forces juice through the coils, and straight into the airflow.

Juice leaking out of the bottom battery air vent means you have it leaking THROUGH the connector where the atomizer screws into (the 510). More juice can leak into the 510 on the more inexpensive devices like the IJust because of how the 510 is made. I noticed this trend started to be more of a problem after the "spring loaded" feature was added into the 510 connector. A moving center pin means the 510 can't be fully sealed since it has to be loose enough to move. That explains how it got from the 510 into the atomizer.

Now, The atomizer for the Ijust also has one of the features I look out for... when the airflow control can be pulled from the bottom like the Ijusts, there is a tolerance there. Any juice that leaks will be sucked into the tiny gap and follow it's way to the bottom of the atomizer before it leaks out the airflow. It also lubricates the airflow making it easier (sometimes too easy) to change. Many atomizers have the airflow design just like your Ijust setup, so that is almost unavoidable.

I've had two mods fail because of juice leaking into the mod itself and shorting the electronics. This is not a problem only for the Ijust, but with all mods. The one solution I have found, was to insert a kepler heat sink between the 510 and the atomizer. This will almost fully stop the juice from getting into the 510. IF it still gets into the 510, you can seal the kepler fully with a little bit of silicone, but I've yet needed to do this.

As you can see, I'm a big fan now:
