Need help figuring a few things out

Hi Everyone. A few things I need help with... any advice appreciated.

I make my own juice, have been for a couple years, but it is just the same simple recipe I started back then with pretty much. I think my recipe & knowledge could use some improving -- is there a sub-forum on here for mixing or something like that?

Also, I have tried and failed with making my own coils. I have an rda but, every time I try making a coil it tastes like ....e. So I go back to spending money on the disposables. I would like to find somewhere to post questions and get help until I figure it out!

For re-coiling, I added one Kayfun (easy to build on) to my Protank retinue of about 6-7. If some thing wasn't right I still had the Protanks. But, probably more importantly, I watched YouTube videos. I found a video that seemed to be good and watched it as I was doing my coil and mounting it to the deck. I had to keep pausing the video, but it worked. Took about 2-3 tries.

Once I successfully did one, it was pretty easy.

Speaking from a personal perspective, I find RDAs much easier to get right than tanks (RTAs RBAs).

I seems strange you are getting a bad taste from a homemade coil. Is you wire good? Have you a supply of clean organic cotton?

I would say if you haven't got it going yet with a dripper, work on that before splashing out on a rebuildable tank... but maybe I'm swayed by my own personal troubles. Personally, I don't find many tanks wick well enough period. I particularly don't enjoy the Kayfun v5 although I was a fan of the "monster" Kayfuns for ages.
Today I am using a doggy style clone ($14) which uses a far better system for wicking than Kayfun-type atomizers.

Welcome and glad you joined. If you are building/vaping duel coils, I can see where you might run into an unbalanced coil build problems. I find Kanthal A1 very satisfactory for single coils.
