Hmm sounds like what you need is a PV that is customized to match your atties resistance. Oh wait, you have a Provari, so you already have one. The thing is you can set the voltage to whatever you want to match the resistance of your atty. Check out this chart from Provape
http://www.provape.com/v/faq.htm.
The watts is what controls your
vape . I like a fairly cool
vape so I usually shoot for around 8 watts. Some people like a warmer vape so they vape at 10 watts. This is around the upper edge, at 10 watts some juices will taste burned and you run the risk of burning out your atty.

vaping check out NebulaBrots masterful disertation here

To make it even simpler I just use the rule of thumb; vape at 2 volts over the atties resistance. So witha standard Joye being at 2.1 ohms resistance, I dial my Provari up to 4.1 volts. This gives me plenty of vapor, good taste and doesn't risk burning out my atty.
The point is experiment and find what is the right wattage for you to vape at. With the Provari you can dial that sweet spot in for whatever atty you have, so buy atties that are on sale. Having said that, I am partial to the DSE 510 atties from SLB, they have a nice wide bridge and always perform well for me. You can get them here
