Another Xtar WP2 II person, been using two of them for some time now. Good charging characteristic, low self-discharge rate if disconnected from power (I use an outlet timer, added safety, positive cutoff), good price point from RTD.

As someone else mentioned, if you charge 16340 or 18350 batteries, pick up another pair of spacers, about $1. They screw in, low hassle factor.

Another vote for the xTar WPII 2. Best value for the money. There are many places selling them so the choice is really yours with an easy Google search.

I just read a review of new the xTar VP1 and that's a great charger too. But it will cost you twice as much as the WPII 2 to get the fancy display that the VP1 has. The VP1 tests appear to come out as good as a Pila, but for the same price the VP1 has a status display. the Pila does not.

Im looking for a new charger also, trustfire takes 7+ hours to charge an 18650 :/. A local b&m ssuggested a bio charger?

I was gonna go with Trustfire TR-001 but i was reading so many bad reviews on those. Alot of people said it messed up batteries, the charger didn't work after a few weeks, the charging lights went out.

I'm still debating on Ultra Portable 18650 li-ion batery charger Xtar Mp1-s

I used a trustfire for a good chunk of time, though I didn't mess with the cord for it, used power strip on/off switch. I prefer xtar, but don't run screaming at the sight of an 001.

If you are using Trustfire charger, maybe a good idea would be to have voltmeter and check battery voltage after charging.

Very often Trustfire will overcharge batteries, which can be pretty dangerous when unprotected battery is in cycle.

Without voltmeter you never know.

I have the TrustFire TR-001 Lithium Ion Battery Charger I figured I would get it since I already had a number of Trustfire Batteries. Been using it over a year with no issues! Batteries haven’t over charged. It has been very reliable! Can’t beat it at $8 Bucks on eBay! I like the adjustability for different sized batteries and the long cord so I can place it up on my work shelf!
