So, I've tried reading through some of the other posts and... I honestly can't make heads or tails of what most people are talking about. I apparently know very little of ecigs.

Since I started back in November 2012 I had been using the Volt X2 battery and their X2 cartomizer. In the last few months I've been using their T3 'clearomizer', and while the bottom coil make for a nicer vape and the larger tank make for longer between fills... It's honestly pissing me off too much to care anymore.

I've now gone through 3 X2 batteries since starting up in November (that's 3 in 5 months...), they held a charge for a full day at first, and slowly held for less and less, then basically stop holding a charge all-together. I'm convinced these are extremely bad batteries as I have many devices I use every day with rechargeable batteries (like my Nintendo DS, my iPod Touch, my phone, and my digital camera to name a few) and all of them have an overall life that far surpasses this one. So basically, I'm done with the X2.

The X2 cartomizer had its own issues, the biggest was that it seemed to clog (even when using good clear liquid) and that nasty burning taste if it got too hot or just a bit too dry.

The T3 had many more issues. The X2 had good vape quality, good throat hit, without any modifications. The T3 had really really weak throat hit, I could barely tell I had inhaled ANYthing even when I took as big a hit as I could. I learned that if you blocked the holes you would get a stronger throat hit, so I did and then the throat hit was perfect... but this apparently led to leaking problems, and the coil overheating, and all sorts of issues. So basically I either couldn't tell I was vaping at all, or it leaked and overheated.

I'm done with Volt. I'm convinced that their stuff is either ...., or I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm doing.

SO! Sorry for the long-winded intro, but I'm sick of Volt and want to find a new ecig. But I'm still very ignorant on any of the terminology, so ecig websites (and much of this forum) just confuse me.

I'm looking for an ecig that's:
  • easy to use
  • easy to clean
  • holds a charge
  • doesn't clog easily
  • doesn't leak
  • won't cost a fortune (volt was exactly in my expected price range)
  • will work with my current liquid (I buy from Crystal E-Liquid)

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm sadly having to go back to regular cigarettes (blegh!) for a while until I get a new one because my latest X2 battery JUST died today... it'll hold a charge for a grand total OF... 5 minutes...

Get a vision or joyetech ego kit with 1100 mah. Get the spinner/ twist versions. Try the vivi nova tanks. With that set up they should last all day and don't need to be replaced for about 6 months. The tank heads last about a week so have back ups. Get the 1.8-2.4 ohm heads for the tank. You'll be set with that.

The above suggestion for the Ego twist or vision spinner is what I suggest but I would recommend a carto tank with it. One of us can post some links if you would like. I would also suggest a vamo. I have not used one but I hear wonderful things about it's performance vrs price. If you can handle going that large I would go with that if I were you.

Vision Spinners VV, or if you'd like a larger device a VAMO that is both VV and VW. With a Kanger Pro Tank glass clearo. These clearos seem to be able to tolerate any juice, and can just be rinsed out and re-used. Replacement coil units are cheap and make juice swapping quick and simple. My very FAV clearos. I bought mine at Discount Vapor. Not easy to obtain, but worth finding!

^^^This. This is the best starter kit I've ever seen, at the best price for all the components. My recommendation would be to get the Spinners with the T3s or Evods. If you already have T3's and a charger that is compatible with ego batteries, you might just want a Spinner or two. The 1300's hold a charge for a long time. They are fatter, but not quite as long as an 1100 Twist. (I get mine at AltSmoke, but there are some other good deals out there, too.)
