Hi there, I apologize in advance is this post seems a little long winded but i want to try be as clear as possible .

Im looking for a new build as i feel im not getting the best vape from my current e-cig. I started vaping about 8 months ago and i love it. I started with a really basic starting kit, it was a basic ego battery and tank. It worked for a while before i begun to realise it was very bottom of the range and the quality of the vape quickly dropped. I them moved onto a Vivi nova tank with Ego-c Twist as i started to learn about VV batteries however one day the battery sprung apart and was completely broke -was not too impressed-.

Now im using a Vivi nova STV tank with an ITaste VV battery. When i first got this set up i was amazed with how good the vape was. It felt as if it was shooting vape into my mouth, a great, strong and reliable hit. I like to use strong flavours like lemon and menthal/green mint and tend to stay away from fruits etc (i find them to be quite sticky and thick and hard to get a strong hit of)

However, now ive had it a wee while it seems to have, once again, dropped in quality. I take great care when cleaning it, i change the atomizers when needed, however it feels like again i need to work harder for that strong hit, it just doesnt come as easy and strong anymore. This has brought me to the conclusion that maybe im not spending enough of my kit? The iTaste battery is about £27 and the Viv Nova STV tank goes for about £9,99 so is this still considered bottom of the range type stuff?

I would be very greatfull if i could get a bit of guidence as to what i should go for in terms of strength and reliability.

If you do reccommend anything could you please make sure its a tank build, aka the ones you buy liquid for and fill yourself, i just prefer that kind of build.

(i would be willing to spend in the region of about £60? is that a sufficient amount for a good quality build?)

Thanks! :)

I have 3 Vmax's and haven't had a bit of trouble with any of them. These are VV in case you don't know. They really pack a punch and best used with SR cartos. A lot of people like the Vamo but I've never tried it myself and never will. My preference is carto tanks but the Protank might be what you are looking for. It's a rebuildable tank that you can buy replacement heads for so you don't have to rebuild it yourself if you don't want to.

Hi Daniel and welcome to ECF.

A vv battery is a vv battery, whether it's a Twist, a Spinner or ITaste. If your battery is performing well, I suggest you try different heads first. I'm not personally a fan of ViVi Novas--I have a Vision mini ViVi and a larger one made by SmokTech and I find them both lacking in taste and in performance. Since your battery is eGo threaded, try one of Kanger top or bottom changeable clearomizers, like T2, T3, or eVodthey are the easiest to you, just fill, vape, replace the dirty coil, clean the dirty coil--it's easy. If you want to try something more fiddly, I suggest getting a carto tank. The one I usually recommend if the Boge F15 or 16--they are cheap, good quality, user-friendly and come fully assembled--just fill and vape.

If you think about bigger battery, there are many good options out there, like Vamo or Sigelei Zmax, but try some new heads first. If you decide to get a bigger APV, I agree with Terry that a ProTank is a good idea--Kanger ProTank is a cousin of Kanger T3 and eVods, but is made out of glass and has a larger diameter.

Good luck and happy vaping.
