Hey guys, I have been in vaping heaven until yesterday. Most importantly been smoke free for over a month, the longest I've ever went. However tonight I might need to buy a cigar!

Ok so.. I have an ego c twist battery <- several of them. I got 2 stardust & 1 T2 Kanger

Sooo.. everything was going lovely yesterday as normal, my short wick stardust worked amazing, my long wick stardust was alot weaker but I did not notice because I was so satisfied with my short wick stardust.. the kanger was never used until today..

Last night I decided to clean my short wick clearomizer.. Once everything was good to do I refilled it with juice and it never hit as strong. The throat hit was gone. I chalked it up to the coil dieing out when I cleaned it. But because my other stardust never hit that well, it has not been satisfying me.. I heard cutting the long wick to make it short would make it hit like the other 1, but it did not. I even put the coil on my old 1 and it still didnt hit very well.

I was saving the Kanger for somthing special cus I heard they are really good, so out of desperation I used that for the first time and its smoking just as weak!!! I've used all my batteries and the results are all the same.

What could I of done to .... all of them up? Was just the stardust that usto work well the only 1 I received not fauly, or maybe it hit better than its supposed too?

All I know now is I can take over 10 second puffs from all my clearomizers now, yet I couldnt even take a 5 second puff without almost dieing before I cleaned my good stardust!

Ahhhhh, what is wrong!!! I need a cigar..

Have you tried turning up the voltage on your twist?

yes I've always smoked on 4.5 that was the sweet spot for the juices I had in my clearomizers

I couldnt even consider taking 5 second tokes without possibly caughing or gagging, now I'm able to take 10 second ones no problem on any clearomizer

If you don't dry the wicks thoroughly after cleaning, any left over water can dilute your juice and cause weak hits. You may have to break them back in. Try your best to vape through it. If you have a higher nic juice, put that in. It will be ok. And, you should probably have more than 3 clearos on hand....just in case something like this happens. Stay strong, and vape on!

Do you torque down the clearo's when ya screw 'em on the Batt's? Sometimes, one of two things can happen; You can push the positive pin upwards in the atty making a weak connection or none at all. Second, you could push the "plate pin" on the batt down and also get the same result.

If it's one of the newer Stardust type clearomizers, you can un-screw the coil and take a small screwdriver or a punch and gently push the center post down ever so slightly, exposing it at the bottom a little more where it makes contact with the battery. Conversely, with the eGo batt's you can again, take a small screwdriver (like the eyeglass type) and lift up on that center plate pin but, just a little...and be careful...none of this takes brute force!

I am not saying this is your issue but, it was the first thing that came to mind by what you are describing...

Good Luck!

There's a mistake people make with voltage. They think they found their sweet spot and never venture from it. You'll never consistently get the best vape, if you do that. If you're sweet spot isn't sweet, it's time to vary the voltage. Coil resistance changes over time. The voltage you need for your sweet spot does too.

Ok - it might not be a problem with your stardust at all. I have been getting some really nasty sinus stuff lately. Most of it is due to fires in neighboring states - there is a lot of smoke in the air. I have noticed that when I have post nasal drip I dont get throat hit and I can barely taste my juice. I am also not able to pull as strongly on my vivi nova and vapor is weaker because of that.

Its just a thought mind you. Good luck.

It's crazy you say that cus today my sinus's have been horrible, I couldnt even workout cus my nose running so badly.

However.. it wasn't like this yesterday, and I've been stuffed up badly once while having my vapors and the smoke was strong as ever still.

The fact is the stardust was working perfect yesterday until I cleaned it. The other stardust has always been faulty, I think it's a gamble when buying clearomizers, half of them don't work. I can't see it being anything with the battery because until the second I cleaned it, the other 1 was working perfect.

What scares me is the brand new kanger doesnt work worth .... either. I just spent 50 dollars on a brand new selection of clearomizers from viva nova to several more stardust, when they arrive if they don't work... I will be very worried..

I always kept it on pretty loose, actually my first day I got my vape gear my clearomizers wouldnt work cus it was screwed on too tight, I've never done that since an never had problem til today.

I am too scared to dare try what your suggesting, I've heard it before, but I don't wanna risk scratching or breaking nothing... I mean the .... already not working cus I cleaned it, .... seems too delicate for me to try this, I'm not very gentle lol... plus I don't think the power to the clearomizer to battery connection is the problem.. the clouds of smoke are huge, just no throat hit....

Now for an odd question... Do you shake your liquid well before putting it in your clearo? I just sounds like you were vaping mostly PG and now it's mostly VG and I would think that could happen if the liquid wasn't mixed well.

That happened to me the first few times I tried to clean my rig. I found out that if its still damp with water the throat hit disappears. YOu really need to dry burn it until there is NOTHING. If you fill it with your juice before that then kiss that round goodbye. Empty it and dry butn it until there is no steam/vape. Then refill and vape away.
