I have been getting dry hits constantly..i changed the coil on my mini aerotank and this fixed it for like an hour.then back to chemical tasting dry hits . So i went out today and bought a mini nautilus and everything was going great no dry hits and absolutely beautiful flavor then all of a sudden the dry hits came back about 3 hours into using my new nautilus.. I am vaping a 50/50 blend.. The vg i use has been pre-diluted with 10% distilled water... The flavor i am vaping is orange mango with premixed stevia by capella there is also a dark brown residue in my tank the same thing happened with my mini aerotank... What could be causing the dry hits and the dark brown substance in my liquid?

I need help as these dry hits are starting to really annoy me!!!

Liquid will turn darker after heating up especially at higher voltages, also liquid with sweetener will kill your coils much faster than juices without it. Other things...are you making sure you have enough juice in your tank, you should always have above 1/4 full in a bottom feeder tank. If you have high voltage set you are shortening the life of the coils, and some coils don't do well over certain voltage levels.

it sounds like you're vv /w are too high...I have a favorite juice who's "sweet spot" is at 4.3vv and 9.5 watts and it goes in clear and by the time that tank's almost empty (a modified Kanger Protank 2 so similar to yours) it's like black molasses.

what battery (and juice too) are you using? does it have vv/w settings? if so have you tried dialing them back some?

You're probably cooking your juice and chain vaping too quickly is my take. Keep in mind that wicks are bidirectional so if you burn the juice that is in the wick some will make its way back into the tank. Maybe turn your vv/vw down a bit or shorten your pulls? Sometimes I will pulse hit a mod meaning I fire it and drag then take my, very short pause and repeat as needed all in the same pull. Do this both mouth to lung and direct lung.

Dry hits is a result of a wicking issue plain and simple and again my guess is that you are chain vaping too quickly. You can pull the flavor wicks out of the Kanger heads which helps a lot but I haven't messed around with the Nautilus heads enough to know if the same is true with them as well.

I have been vaping my Nautilus takes, both BDC and BVC heads, at 13-14w and have never had a wicking issue except with a few bad BDC heads.

thank you for the quick reply guys...are you sure its not the stevia that came premixed into the concentrate? and just for the record i am vaping at 9-10 watts and usually take 3-4 second drags.. i have heard the mini nautilus can vape up to 18 tho with no problems...

If you want your coils to last longer stay away from liquids that contain sweetener, because it will gunk up your coils and if it can do that who knows what it's doing when you're inhaling it.

I bought some Top Vapor Tobacco from Madvapes. 50ml 36nic. Stuff was awful. It was like molasses in the bottle. I tried to steep it for a few weeks. Still gross. It also stained my tanks with a brownish gunk. My coils were needing to be cleaned/replaced very fast. Live and learn. I have that bottle in my closet in case I ever run out of all liquids.
