In an effort to quit smoking I started using a PV (Vision Spinner and Kanger protank) and quit using because what I believe are due to psychological reasons. I have been looking to get back in as I hear there have been some advancements in the industry but am at a loss as to what to choose. I have been looking at mechanical mods but am not set on getting if there is something better for me. As for what I want/need to help me psychologically get off cigarettes....

Most Important -
Need to get a good drag off of it with out it seeming I am sucking down a McDonalds milkshake.
Visually need to see vapor when I exhale even when I keep my breath for more then 10 seconds.
Need the feeling of taking a drag. I believe the term is throat hit but am new to this.

Not so important
Size or length
Would like to not have to clean the entire device due to leaking parts multiple times a day.
Needs to have a tank, do not think I would be a fan of the drip method I have been seeing on youtube.
Good batt life that lasts the day for a smoker that uses a 1/2 pack a day.
Easy to use, clean or upgrade if needed.
Do not care if clone vs auth but would like something reasonable in price

Thanks for any input in advance.

A Kanger Protank what?

I LOVE my regular size Aerotanks, I do use a 1.5ohm instead of the 2ohm. The 1.5's make it hit hard and fast. Right now I am using Vision Spinner 2's but will soon upgrade to a more powerful longer lasing unit with replaceable batteries. I started on the Protank 3 mini, also have the AeroTank mini and the difference going to the full size unit was amazing. I have a Mega also (in fact two) but have not set it up yet.............................. I know, weird.

I smoked a pack plus of Camel 100's or Marlboro reds a day. Double that if adult beverages are in the equation.

I think the Aerotank gives you the most vapor, although some people claim the Nautilus mini BVC has the best vape now.

I'd seriously take a look into Innokin's MVP or the Vaporshark DNA. The MVP is a medium sized long lasting battery that will let you vape away all day. Plus, it's hefty and will let you grow into rebuildables easily. For a man, goes easily into a pocket.

The Vaporshark is already a more evolved PV that will let you grow even further. Going straight to 30W and with a minimum of .5 ohms resistance, will let you vape anything you put on it and have great vapor output. For this I recommend you choose 2 ohm heads at 20 W will give you massive amounts of vapor.

Pretty new to this myself, but I will share my thoughts with you because I recently kicked a pack a day habit to the curb(so far) with the help of e-cigs.

I started off with and ego type battery and the standard kit tanks. This wasn't doing it for me so I kept the battery and got a Kanger Pro Tank mini 3 that helped a little bit, but in the end still wasn't enough for me. What I finally did and what I would recommend you doing is either talking to a friend that vapes or find a store locally that has really good people working in it that can help guide you to what you are looking for.

In the end for me I would up with a Smoktech Magneto mechanical mod and a Smoktech pyrex duel coil RSST genesis style atomizer and it was a night and day difference for me as far as vapor production, juice taste, and throat hit.

As far as the throat hit goes that will depend a lot on the juice you decide to use. Again nothing like going to a brick and mortar store and trying out what they offer as I think any store that sells e-juice that is worth a darn will have samples available to try. From what I have read and experienced so far nicotine level, PG/VG mix(higher PG), and adding things like menthol all play a role in throat hit. What is right for you I can't really say as it is all subjective, which is why I recommend going into a brick and mortar store and trying out what they have.

I hope I have helped some and not confused you more and hopefully some of the smarter people in this community will chime in to help out more.

Welcome Hexabah to ECF. You are going to get various opinions for different setups. When you find a recommendation you like make sure to research it. I went thru many myself till I found that "wow" factor of a setup....which is the Provari with Aspire Nautilus using the new BVC ( coil ).

Good Luck to You....Happy Vaping!!!

My recommendation would be an LP Reo Grand. It uses bottom fed dripping atomizers. Has a 6 ml bottle onboard, and for that good airflow, an RM4. It has AFC and you can do single or dual coils. The Reo comes with new subohm capable spring and contact. It is pretty much bulletproof. The drip method produces the best flavors and vapor. This is dripping without having to drip. That's my recommendation to solve all your issues.
