Hey everyone - new poster here...

Before I discovered this wonderful place I spent some time on amazon reading the reviews on different models and decided on two for my wife and I to try: a DSE901 and a 2-piece kit by "e health cigarettes" from e cig hawaii. I like both units fine, but when I asked the lady at ecighawaii about replacement batteries and atomizers for the e health unit she said that the model was so new that the manufacturer was using all available parts for the complete kits right now.

After searching through the forums here for two days I suspect it might be a rebranded M403, but I notice some subtle differences in the atomizer units. The package itself and the short instuction sheet that came with it don't give a clue as to the manufacturer. I plan on ordering an M403 soon so I can compare the two, but I wondered if anyone here had a more educated opinion as to what the "e health" might be.

Thanks for your help and time. :)

My first e-cig was ordered from e-cig hawaii, ultimately I got the new improved model. I originally ordered thru Amazon, but somehow the vendor didn't get the order. I emailed her (Constance) and she made it good right away, throwing in some extras. She was absolutely great to do business with.

The e-cig she sells, ummm.... not so good. It's very similiar to my EVO 401, and I can use the chargers from it for my EVO. The parts are not so interchangeable. The attys and batts don't quite match. The attys on the hawaii models appear to be extremely well made and do well with dripping. The carts are very similiar to the EVO with the little insert in the mouthpiece. I'm going to try to refill the carts one of these days and see how it works. Overall the hawaii models appear to be very well made, but I'll stick with my TECC Titan 510, my DSE901 and my now favorite-the EVO.

Wrecktangle you've made me curious now so I'll be taking one of the filters apart later to see what it's made of. They come with a piece of aluminum foil that has to be pierced by the atomizer to be used. I have to believe whatever's in there can be replaced with poly and refilled...

I'm sure these won't be my last two units, but so far my wife loves the hawaii e-cig. It draws easy and puts out plenty of vapor. Battery life is good, too. When I first got my DSE901 I wasn't thrilled with the length or the tiparillo style filter, but it's growing on me.

Banjoman, the easiest way to take those carts apart, is on the end you put in your mouth, take a paper clip and pull off the little one holed end. Take the paper clip and push it into one of the holes. This will push the inner cart out. You'll see the transparent inner cart, remove the foil and that tough plastic overcovering. Pull out the little bit of wool, give it a good rinse under water, dry it all. Replace the wool ( or use your own fluval or polyester), fill with your favorite juice, put it all back together, and you should be good to go.

Alternately, just take a pair of good tweezers, reach in the open end, grab hold of the inner cart, give a good twist and pull out.

And just for clarification, there's the e-health cig and the health-e cig. I think they're two different manufacturers. The e-health cig seems like a quality product, well made, and the atty looks like it's built to last.

Wrecktangle... thanks for the tips. I've been lurking around here a few days and saw a youtube video here about packing your own poly. I have a JoAnn's just up the road so I'm going to stop in and see if they have any.

On a different note, I'm starting to realize that collecting e-cigs is going to start a whole new addiction for me (hehe). Any tips on keeping all the spare parts and chargers getting mixed up? Right now I'm thinking "tackle box" but I'm open for suggestions....

Thanks again

Blu/510 and M40x are not even the same sex - that atomizer compat chart is bs on that

I have 510 and M40x models - nothing whatsoever alike. Not the same size barrel, not the same width threads, not the same gender, just totally different

M40x are skinny little things, about as thick as a Marlboro with teensy push-up juice cup
