The wife and I are new to the ecig world and need some help. We bought this model at a local store, sold under the White Dragon brand name (White Dragon E Cigarettes). It's a battery and disposable atomizer combo.

Lately we've had trouble reaching our local distributer and I was wondering if anyone could help me find a place we can buy compatible atomizers? The White Dragon web site doesn't list the flavored atomizers we get from the local guy and they don't answer their web site contact form. Doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence.

And a place to do some reading about the different varieties would be interesting. Learning the lingo takes some work. But if the local guy isn't going to keep up on his territory, then I might be interested in setting up my own display. What's that old line about if you don't take care of your customers someone else will?

For the lingo, that is a cartomizer, not an atomizer. And that is a rebranded model. There really is no such thing as a "White Dragon"

Is it important to you that it looks like a cigarette? There are many good, reliable, inexpensive options, if you don't need it to look like an analog.

Watch Mistress Nomads videos for a good primer http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html If you watch those, you should be able to ask questions that we can help with.

After watching the videos I may order a Joye 510 kit and go that route. Juice is cheap, we'd probably save the cost of disposables in a couple months. My wife burns through those things like there's no tomorrow.

I do like not hitting the button, but that's not a deal breaker.

This is a bit more complicated than anticipated. I figured it was like car tires. There were three or four manufactures and every brand on the market stems from one or two basic designs. Not exactly.

Too bad I don't live close enough to help with the videos. A pro camera, some decent lights, a good mic and editing would help. The narrator is quite good. If I wasn't in the middle of a documentary that would be fun.

You can get a good Joye 510 kit from cignot for $30. If you need longer battery life, you can get a 510 Riva from Liberty-Flights for $30. If you decide to get cartomizers, instead of using the 3 piece set up all of the time, you can get Boge 510 caartomizers from Liberty-Flights, 7.99 pack of 5. Use 3ohm for a 510, and 2ohm for the Riva/eGo. The manual battery quickly becomes second nature.

Yup...a lot of devices...lots of vendors...huge differences in price...

You have a KR808D-1 from what I can tell....it is 3.7 volts...the 510 models operate at 3.4 or so...makes a difference in the quality of the vapor...most cartos are between 2-3 ohms...you are going to want to hit the sweet spot with whatever you buy...4-6 watts is what most are after...if all of this confused you, you need to do some research before you spend anymore money on new hardware.

In the meantime, the KR8 is a fine model...save the empties & refill them. It's really easy to do.

Good luck!

If you live in the Tampa Bay area you can get cartomizers (prefilled) from the Big Top Flea Market in Temple Terrace. The vendor there sells 5 packs of the carts for $15, but if you buy two packs, you get a third free. If you have the White Dragon ecig that has the dragon emblem on it you can bring it and ask the vendor if it is eligible for the lifetime warranty (on the batteries). I am pretty sure the only carts he sells are regular flavor (tastes kinda minty like the convenience store rip off models [not bashing the flavor]), and menthol.

If you get into e cigs that use e-liquids and are near this Flea Market, a vendor in the middle portion known as Vapor Rising sells bulk purchases of e-liquid (6 or more) for $8 dollars per bottle for 30 mL bottles.

And to anybody that wonders why I have a dinky little automatic and talk about e-liquids, I use KGO's (yes, I know it is a super Ego knock off) primarily with 510 dripping atty's that I tailpipe with (I smoked analogs for way too long and have a tendency to draw really hard, which puts any kind of tank system or drip tip system out of the question [inhaled juice is bleh]). I just recently purchased the White Dragons for smoking while I drive, and have yet to figure out how many batteries I will actually need (I'll stay loyal due to the warranty, figuring that the extra cost for having to buy one use cartos will balance out with the lifetime warranty on the batteries [that and I find reusing cartos nasty; you might as well just get some atomizers]).

To finish, denney is correct. The model is indeed GZX512-1 (confirmed with Google, and Alibaba refers to them as White Dragon).

Don't be confusing a warranty with a guarantee. A "lifetime" warranty on a battery that may only have a 2 month life span is... a two month warranty. No one - at least no business with any horse sense - is going to guarantee a battery to work for "life" when by it's very design the materials that comprise it will simply wear out. And tiny batteries have a tiny life span.

If you look at the website pricing for these things, it is obvious that they can warranty the batteries for life. You cannot refill the cartos and you must buy their cartos. These things will devour many overpriced cartos in their short lifespan, so the lifetime warranty is actually a gimmick to get you to keep buying their cartos.

I cannot stress enough to look at the website pricing. With those prices, a lifetime warranty is a walk in the park.

I guess I should mention that the OP should definitely not use these little things as a mainstay. They are pretty much a convenience store e cig. Something like the EGO or an EGO knock off would fit the bill quite nicely along with some e liquid and some cheap dripping atty's (I find the 510 dripping atty with built in 3 hole drip shield from BetterLife to work quite nicely if you want to get into tailpiping).
