I purchased a 901 mini ecig from Totlly Wicked a couple months ago and it only lasted a couple weeks and became completely unusable once the warrenty expired 28 days after purchase. The batteries became lifeless and fickle and the attys were not much better. You would have to suck your face inside out in order to turn the battery on and get enough power to create visual vapor and then the batteries would stop working or randomely blink even without having hit the cut off or took to many puffs per minute.
Ive asked TW who the manufacturer was(so I dont buy these again) and they said that they didnt know...ok thats ODD. The batteries are unsealed and do not hav slb or RN printed on them anywhere, what is printed on the threaded end of the battery is N090521 and on the atty N100321.
Id like to know what kind of 901 this is and I would also like to know what kind of 901 is the best one because I still want to get one. I like both auto and manuel batts, but this cannot be the standard non-performance of auto 901's....can it!?
Hmm, one more question. How would a Kr808 compare to a decent 901 battery?

I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you what it isn't ... and, perhaps most useful, make some suggestions (including answering your last question).

It is not a DSE901. Those are all stamped "SLB" (for Sailebao, the manufacturer).

I've read good things about both the DSE901 and the RN4075. [Links are to the respective ECF model specific discussion forum.] I see that you have been gathering some information about the DSE901 in one of those forums. As you probably now know, typically the DSE901 is high bridge; the RN4075 low bridge (said to be better for use with cartridges).

  • There is also BestEcig's BE901, about which I know very little. [I do know that the low-bridge BE112 (their version of the 801) is very well thought of.] The BE901 is available from BestEcig's own online store (China), as well as Indy Vapor Shop and The Vapor Spot.

I regard the Kr8 battery to be far superior to the 901/4075 battery. It is 280 mAh and a true 3.7V (starting at 4.2V fully charged). It is entirely compatible with 901/4075 atomizers. [NOTE: The same cannot be said for Kr8 cartomizers on 901/4075 batteries and mod fittings. The threads are right, but there often is no airflow.] I reviewed the Kr8 model (including its battery and where to purchase it) in some detail here. [Don't forget to click on "click here" at the end of the introductory post to see the actual review.]

There is now a new 750 mAh battery (not a battery housing "mod") for the Kr8 and 901/4075. It is the Elegant Easy from CigEasy. Think of it as an "eGO" for the Kr8 and 901. [Since CigEasy is a Kr8 supplier, Frank markets the Elegant as a Kr8 device, but I know from personal experience that it is equally effective with the 901.] See my review for more information.
