I have been using a KR808d-1 for months now, and am growing tired of the cartomizers. I wan't to switch back to my 510. But since the switch, i have grom very fond of the fabulous 808 Automatic batteries! I love them! I still appreciate the 510 manuals, but adore the convenience of an auto.

Is there a good (comparable to the KR8) auto battery that will work with a 510 atomizer? (I don't want it going off due to noise or vibration, like all my old 510 autos did)

(I'm planning on ordering up an eGO, as soon as Janty, or DietSmokes gets them back in stock, But I NEED something to tithe me over)

Thanks!

Actually, when I first started reading your post, the Janty eGo auto battery was exactly what I would suggest. Then I saw that you're already waiting to order it. But in the meantime, maybe you could get a kr808 to 510 adapter so you can use the kr8 batteries with your 510 atties. It would be a lot cheaper while you're just waiting anyway to get the best auto battery out there from Janty. I've also read that people use the kr8 with 510 adapter because it is such a good setup. I love both the eGo manuals and autos. They really do hold the charge for a good 8 hours or so.

Edit: Oops...BadState and I must have been posting at the same time.

Thanks BadState and Sojourner! I didn't even think about adapters (I even have some to use carto'z with my 510 manuals)! Do you know of a good place to pick some up?

Katattack: Yeah. But i've not been very impressed with the 901 atomizers. While they provide great flavor, they lack the throat hit I NEED... Plus they seem far less reliable than the 510 atty's.

Thanks for the quick responses!

how do the autos perform? what is the draw like? How long is the cut-off?

I love them. I have both, the auto and the manual 510 and they seem to last quite a bit. The draw seems like any other draw to me. I also use them with an adapter for my Greencig and my 808 cartomizers.

I got mine at Totally Wicked when they had a sale.

Sorry for the double post, I don't think I can edit my post.

I have a manual DSE901 and like it quite a bit. I'd like to try an automatic battery just for the ease of use, but I'm worried about things I've heard like it activating from loud music and vibration.

I like to go to clubs and concerts and raves, etc., and I'm worried that an auto battery would just stay on the whole time due to the loud music and heavy bass.

Is this true?

I'm a noob.. but is it possible to use one of these 510 Mega batteries on my 901?

Sure is possible -but you need an adapter:

AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizers - Ecigs Battery Adapters - Adapters - PV Parts - Products

battery: choose 510
Atomizer: chooses 901/kr808

or here:

PV Adapters

Clean the Adapters
We recommend cleaning the adapters by placing it in glass of warm water for about 30 minutes, after the duration removed the adapter and place on a paper towel and let dry for 90-120 minutes. Once the unit is dry and the liquid is removed feel free to use the adapter again.

How to Use the Adapter
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you put the adapter on the battery end first! There is no need to screw these down as tight as you possibly can get them as this could damage the silicia/contact and cause an issue with the adapter to not work properly. Once the adapter is properly screwed (NOT OVER TIGHTENED) into the battery, screw the atomizer onto the unit, once again do not over tighten.
