Etherealink.. Thanks for the info.. So Im pretty sure found my problem with the burnt hit.. I was vaping for a good 5-10 min then started tasting that "burnt" dry hit.. took my unit apart too check the coils out.. (which I just replaced yesterday) and one of the wicks were dry...

So wth is up with my coil unit.. Again i am using the Kanger Protank mini 2.. Can I those rubbery things off the unit?

Ann, I'm not all that familiar with the pt mini 2 (I'll take a look at it) but my first suggestion is to try adding a little water to your juice as you fill the tank, say 5% or so. I think part of the problem is how thick your 99% VG juice is.

I would start with just a couple drops of water and slowly increase that, keeping in mind that 20 drops is roughly 1ml.

My guess would be that from the amount of VG (something close to warm KY jelly consitancy) the wicks get clogged and can't get the juice to the coils properly.

I'll get back to you in a minute about the pt2 mini coil's construction.

OK, I checked out the pt2 mini and I found what I expected, the coils are set up the same as the original pro tank.

Its pretty hard to see unless you zoom in on the images, but the small white parts that stick out at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock are all that there are of the wicks that stick out of the coil unit.

For most liquids (20/80 VG/pg to 20/80 pg/VG, I hope I set that up right lol) the wicking isn't a problem. In the case of the liquid that you're using (99% VG) it is so thick that I think it is having trouble getting through the wicks (the liquid moves through capilary-action, just like sucking soda through a straw) and you are getting dry and burnt hits (kinda tastes like lick-em sticks but just the white stick, when its burnt the silica wick is just nasty).

Don't throw them out though, they can be saved, they just need some TLC.

Try starting with about 5 drops per ml of liquid you add to the tank and see if you still get dry hits. If so, add another 5 drops and try again. Remember that your flavor will drop off slightly while doing this but we are trying to find out what the approximate maximum of VG % is that you can use in tour pt2 mini. And all of this is assuming that all your liquid is blended at the same vg%.

I would highly suggest taking notes and starting with only 1ml as it will tell me how much the % of water added was and to what % of VG you need to drop to so that you can vape without problems.

On a side note, the 90% VG and above blends do tend to be a bit more sweet and give less of a throat hit, but are normally only used in RDA/rba's (rebuildable drippers and atomizers) for this exact reason. There are additives that take no skill at all to use that will remove throat hit or smooth out eliquid if you have issues with that. Also, if you have a sensitivity to pg, there are ways to get around that as well but let's take this one thing at a time so we can see what we're dealing with.
