To my understanding, a lot of those APV's wont fire if the Ohms are too low. the device thinks there is a short circuit and the protection kicks in. If you are looking to vape that low of resistance, id try a Mechanical mod with a Safety fuse.
I myself have tried rebuilding them and have had little luck.
but on youtube you will find advise like using 3mm silica wick with I believe they said 28awg heating wire and ditch the 1 and 2mm wicks
hope this helped
and best of luck.

I do run a trident and kraken on lo res but i want a low res for my MVP. Hoping that the MVP will be able to handle the 1.4. It's vaping the Betelgeuse from Nicoticket perfectly at 9 watts

I'm running a 1.2 and a 1.4 ohm builds in two Kayfuns on both my MVP2's at the moment. The MVP2 will handle it fine. I've read that a MVP2 can fire as low as .8 Ohms but it will limit the output to 3 or 3.5 amps (so it will fire as low as .8 but not very well).

I'm vaping my 1.4 ohm at 9 watts which equals 3.55 volts and 2.54 amps. At 10 watts it only jumps to 2.67 amps. Well within what the mod can handle.
