Hey family,

To make a long story short, where I can buy premade coils and Are they easy to install ? What types should I get - all the options are overwhelming for ex: Clapton coil etc?

1. I'm not too good at making my own coils
2. Takes me a lot of time 3. I never get the wicking right 4. I almost had an ex girl bleed out all her blood and die after she stepped on a Kanthal clipping. (Exaggerating a bit)

The only rda/rta I have ever owned, I just make a single coil for all my vapea. To be honest I can't stand making any coils at all. It's just a personal choice. So I delved into tanks that have those replaceable cartridges and it has been ok. But not as good as a home made rta/rda.

My main question is where to buy the pre-mades ? Should I just do the fast tech route. Their prices were unbelievable !! Especially when local vape shops around here sell one cool at a price where I could buy 200 coils from china.

Thanks for listening to my saga :)

I use the fasttech pre-made coils at times and they have been dead on the ohms they claim and have performed perfectly. I make my own at times too but when in a rush they're perfect.

The cost and quality make them an absolute steal. I usually buy the 50 packs of them. So far ordered their titanium and nickel ones with some SS316L ones on the way.

I have about 25 different styles of premade Kanthal and SS316L coils from FastTech. I think they are great. Saves a lot of time when I don't feel like building. I am not one that can sit down and build anytime. When I don't feel like building I usually wreak more than I build. So I generally wait till i feel like building. Beside you can test out their coils and decide how to make them better. At the store we would sell a set of 2 for $6. installed. Got boxes of 80 coils for $12. No one ever came back not liking them. CHEERS!

I buy the prewicked coils from fasttech for my protank/evod heads. I get the 1.8Ω 4 wick coils and every one I have used so far (well over 200) have been spot on at 1.8. I also picked up some 2.8 for my gs-air dual coil heads and when installed they metered out at 1.4. I had to wick these but it was still easy to do.

I thought I might want to venture into something new to me someday so picked up a wheel of 7 different varients of twisted type coils that meter out to .45. I've not actually used any of them yet but did check some of them and they are spot on.

So to answer your question I would say yes to ordering them from fastech. Just make sure your order is over 20 or 25 dollars or you will be in for a very long wait. I made the mistake the first time I ordered coils of just ordering a few packages of coils. Total cost...about 7 bucks. No tracking number and it took a solid month to get from there to here. Most of my orders get here within 2 weeks. :) HTH

If you want quality prewrapped coils you might also look at Advanced Vape Supply for stuff, especially complex coils. Everything is SS, so they're good for both wattage/power like Kanthal, and temp control if you ever want to give that a spin.

However, other than some triple fused clapton braided alien coil, making a simple coil is pretty simple. Easier than wicking correctly. also, when you mount even a premade coil, you'll still have to mount it and trim the legs on the other side of the post, so no guarantee against flying metal splinters

well you could always get one of the various kanger dripboxes (2/60w/160w)and squonk instead... they sell premade/already wicked, drop in coils, in packages of 3 for them... it's the whole reason i bought the dripboxes initially, so my hubby could change out his own coils on the rda without me having to do it.

Did FT change their policy? When I order and it's less than 20 bucks, I always get an option to pay a few cents extra (always less than a buck) and receive the order in the same time as any other free ship order.

They may have had that option and I just overlooked it. Fortunately waiting a month wasn't a problem. If I want something FAST I order from the states and if I need to save money I order from fasttech :D

I must have At Least 1,500 Pre-Coiled Coils in either NiChrome 80 or 316/316L in various Ohms. All of them came from FT. That's about all I used in 2016.

Can't say how some of the more Exotic Coils they sell work? I just don't really use them much. But for Single Wire Coils, I have been Very Happy with them. And have No Problems with the MKWS Brand.

You can get premade coils on Fasttech , eBay, etc.

Most of them you have to wick and install.

If i'm going to have to do 3/4 the work anyway i will wrap my own coils to the resistance i want instead of what Someone in China thinks i should be vaping at.

Nothing wrong with wrapping you own Coils. Heck, some people think it is Fun.

But how does someone like FT offering about every Ohm Coil Imaginable in about Wire Alloy make you vape "what Someone in China thinks i should be vaping at" ?

Havent seen that many coils at FT.

I saw the pro Tank, and .4 ohm Clapton coils.
