Hi Guys,

I am experimenting with a new ceramic coil made for drippers and rebuildables, so far this thing is amazing but I simply cant fit it in ANY of my RTA's or RDA's.

The coil itself is about a quarter of an inch tall and has the outside circumference of a pencil. The ceramic that it's made of is so pourous that it doesn't need any kind of cotton wicking at all, so long as the coils pourous ceramic material can come in contact with the juice.

So basically I need an RTA and an RDA where a coil this large will fit INSIDE the bottom drip-well section of the deck, if one exists, so the ceramic can come in contact with the juice holes on the deck without using cotton.

I have tried to fit it inside of my aromamizer, my goblin v2 mini, the only dripper it fits in is my deadmodz v2, and the only way ive been able to fit it into a tank design so far is putting it inside of the RBA coil head for the joyetech cubis, which isn't the same as an RTA but works incredibly well if I could get it to stop spitting (the cubis spits with regular coils).

Any suggestions on an RTA and an RDA with a drip well large enough to bend this ceramic coil down into? See attached photo for reference.

And just to clarify, I want to be able to bend the ceramic coil downward so the ceramic material on the coil touches the bottom drip well of an RTA and an RDA so I can use this coil in a kayfun sytle RTA without using cotton or wicking material to bring the ejuice to the coil -- the ceramic does that on its own, if its touching the juice.

On an unrelated note, this thing is just incredible, its 0.5 ohms can work in TC or wattage mode can handle up to 80watts at 0.5 ohms without cracking, dry burns blean, wicks without cotton, and the flavor is 10x anything ive tried yet.
Maybe post in the RDA OR RTA threads.

Interesting. I understand why 30mm, but not sure I understand the rec for a 2-3 post deck design? Thanks! :)
To provide you enough room to get it down into the well. A two post, V-style deck should let you fit it between them. A three post might have enough room along one side, raising the possibility of duals.

Thanks for claryfing! This makes perfect sense. :)

Earlier today while experimenting with this pourous ceramic coil I had a sort of "aha!" moment.

My goal playing around with this thing is to figure out a setup that is very good on flavor, and has no wicking material that can pose even a slight health hazard from potential particulate inhalation or exposed metal coil that can potentially off-gas(I know both of these are basically nill concerns in a proper build, but it's fun to play with/think about -- even without these things in mind this coil does taste incredible imo, just seems to give more TH and a more defined flavor). And then I saw some of the all-in-one-squonker type atomizers. The ceramic on this thing is so pourous that it actually absorbs more ejuice directly than organic japanese cotton. So I think if I could find a squonking type atomizer like the fountain v2 for example where I can get this coil close to the bottom juice-feed hole I could potentially have a wickless ceramic coil dripper like experience without wicking material particulates or metal off-gassing potential, and maintain the ability to dry-burn the coil clean WHILE still in the build and just swap out juice bottles in the squonker if I ever get flavor fatigued. I really like the potential of this in theory. :)

E.g Just squeze the squonker bottle to saturate the ceramic and let go of the bottle to suck the excess juice back down; I think that could also solve the spitting issue this coil can have in a vertail mount wickless tank build. If/when I want to sample ejuice in a shop I could just hit the power button to clean-burn the ceramic coil until it's white again and drip onto the ceramic through a wide-bore drip tip, and then clean-burn it white again and go back to squonking my regular juice after I'm done without the sampled juice lingering much if at all.

I've got the fountain v2 in an order from fasttech, but this darn order was delayed first by the new year and second by 4 restocking items that said in-stock when ordered, and over a week later they still refuse to split shipment, ugh! I will update if/when I ever 'actually' get it.

The suggesstions in this thread have all been golden either way, and lead me on to some great atomizers for large builds like this. So I am certainly thankful for everyone's suggestions. :)

The squonker is a great idea. I am ashamed I didn't think of it.

I would second the Stumpy. You could fit a nice single ceramic coil between the posts down in the juice well.

what about the HOBO 3.1 it has a velocity style deck and you can move one of the posts to do large single coil also can be used as a squonk RDA

These all sound like great suggestions but this one is particularly interesting.

I've seen a few photos of decks with slidable posts before, but haven't owned one yet. Thanks!
