You're obviously a newbie. Here's the run-down...
With what you're eyeing as your aesthetic base, you will want an eGo twist 1100mah. Buy 2 or 3 so you'll have back-ups in case of failure or when you need to charge one.
As stated, the tapered part between battery and tank is a standard eGo tank adapter cone. Function and form.
The tank can be had from many vendors in different materials (caps and tubes). It is only a container. It does nothing with regards to vapor production, other than increase the capacity for more e-liquid
Tank cartomizers are consumable. There is a pricey rebuildable one, but I won't overwhelm you with that. Tank cartomizers generally come with a flange at the connector end and can be found with drilled holes from 1-2-3 holes depending on the thickness of your e-liquid and it wick-ability (thicker, VG-based e-liquids sometimes require multiple crto holes for tank-use).
There are many different resistance cartomizers that can be paired with the tank. There are different coil set-ups (single or dual coils). Each behaves differently. The one that works best for you is the best one out there. This is the learning curve.
With the eGo twist, you can increase voltage to produce warmer vapor and more or less TH, flavor and vapor. It does not require low resistance, as low resistance caters to a lower, fixed voltage to achieve the same heat as a higher resistance paired with higher voltage.
I'd suggest single coils cartos in the 3ohm ballpark (+/-.5ohm) or dual coils in the 2ohm ballpark.
Good luck!
