Three questions I need help with here. I've been vaping and mixing my own juice for sometime. Now I'm wanting to build a box mod but have a few questions that are pretty specific. Any help is appreciated! I'm looking to build a dual 18650 or 26650 box. Planning on using the 40A Naos raptor chip. Here are my questions might be noob questions but I am a noob in this sense so here it goes.

1: A VV read out or screen. How do I obtain one of these? I'm not sure what to search for to locate what I need. I see mods such as the axis and countless others that have them and don't know what to look for. Can you buy ones already attached to the potentiometers or what?

2: Box size I know it will obviously depend on what size bats I use. However I tried to build a unregulated dual 18650 in a hammond 1590B. The switch was an anti vandal and kept hitting the battery boxes I tried. It was to tight to fit two. So I'm looking for something big but not obnoxious for both an 18650 and a 26650 and weigh my options. This is a big issue I'm having. (prefered plastic but not essential.

3: Lastly I know some use battery boxes and some don't. Personally I would like to just use springs on a plastic box to save some room. Does anyone know where to find solid springs that won't collapse quickly after repeated use?

I'm looking to build this soon and want it to be very nice and use solid products all around. So like I stated any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ecf community!:)

as far as a screen I would suggest you look at and search for "dna30" and "sx350", these are the 2 premier regulated chips with screens all built into a ready to drop in module

as far as the choice between 26650 and dual 18650's, the dual 18650's will give you well over 100% more runtime than a single 18650, where a 26650 will only give you maybe 20% more run time so the dual 18650's are a much better choice in my opinion when it comes to a regulated mod

personally I would never use a battery holder, a waste of space if you ask me, in most cases at least. I use a copper plate as a positive contact and a silver coated beryllium copper spring as the negative, built right in to the body of the mod

can't help with the enclosure, I usually make my own in some way, shape or form :)

I appreciate the help I probably should have made it more clear when I was writing that this will be used for sub-ohm builds. I don't want everyone loosing their minds since I'm getting a high powered chip and have any typical arguments about the dangers of sub ohm vaping. I'm well aware and there are countless threads to reference regarding it. However I do appreciate the advice about the battery plates that's a good idea and will be taken into consideration! :)

the sx350 chip goes to 60 watts and can go as low as .15 ohm. that's the chip you want if you want to build a powerful vape. there are other circuits you can build from scratch that will give you more power but not in a nice little regulated complete package with a screen that will show you battery life and power setting and read the resistance and include logic control...

Intresting had no idea there was such a chip thanks! I had a dna 30 device and it was lacking but 60 sounds like it would be solid. Lol i agree i use mech mods mainly all the time but i dont build lower than .25 or so. I used to build .08 ohm builds for the clouds but got over my mod getting warm after a single hit and having to vape flavorless juice to get plumes lol. So now 6 wrap micros of 24g are my go to :)

Dude.... dont waste your time on anything but the yihi sx-350.
You cant do any better!
it has a bypass mode makes it like a mechanical
.1 ohm up to 60w
you can get a shapeway face for a hamond box switch battery and 510connector and make a nice mod.
heck my first sx-350 I used a radio shack box and switch with an old laptop 18650 battery. Look at my sx-350 complete thread.
plenty of help on here to get you going.
varitube.com has the boards and a ss and brass spring loaded 510 connector that awesome.

I have to second this, the versatility of this chip makes it a must have for any modder! You won't be disappointed!!
