Are you using any Sweetener?

All of your Flavors are Candy Type Flavors. And you can't make Candy without Sugar.

Or at least if you do, it Doesn't taste good.

+1 BILLION

I mistakenly used EM at first and couldn't make them better, switched to liquid sucralose and everything tastes amazing now!

I hear you.

I Couldn't get to where I wanted to go with EM. Had almost resigned to the thought that I couldn't make DIY that were going to be Sweet. And maybe I should just Chuck all my DIY stuff in the Trash.

5 Drops of Pure Sucralose Changed My World.

Exactly!! We lived the same nightmare haha

Perfect example- Lorann's Bananna Creme @ 20% - god awful harsh taste, near-painful TH. added about 4% Sucralose and now it's my all day vape :) Just smooth-silky godly flavor! I tend to change my ADV every 1-2 weeks tho! So many great flavors out there :)

Yep... ALL of my DIY Recipes tasted Better.

And Mixing Finished e-Liquids went from tasting like Old Gym Socks in a Burlap Bag to Complex Flavors.

... Sweetener %??????????
How much sweetener should I add??

I dunno.

It's like asking how much Salt to add. If you put as much Salt on things as I do you probably Couldn't eat it.

Same with Sweetener.

For Sucralose, I would add 5 or 6 drops to 20ml of 13mg Apple. Maybe more if the Nicotine base was Really Bitter.

BTW - Adding Sucralose needs No Steeping Time. So you can add a couple of Drops, Taste, and then Add More and Taste again. Don't have to wait 3 or 4 days.

Is sweetener same as ethyl maltol??
Lets say I was going to mix up TFA Apple
Using juice me up calculator
36mg 100%pg nicotine diluted to
13mg nicotine
Amount to make 20ml
70% pg
30%vg
Flavoring Apple 12%
Sweetener %??????????
How much sweetener should I add??

With liquid sucralose, try mixing 2% for starters. Some flavors will need more, others less, depending on the profile of that specific flavor and natural sweetness. Some flavors I vape, like licorice, are already super-sweet and need none. Others like that bananna creme were totally unsweetned and needed about 4%. Your mileage WILL vary, as personal taste is also subjective.

Ethyl Maltol is used as a sweetening agent, but is basically a naturally sweet flavor equated to cotton candy. I personally found it to be a VERY diluted sweetner that couldn't help sweeten fruity and dessert flavors. It seems that EM is used more on the terms of taking the edge off some tobacco flavors that are mixed with fruits, nuts, or whatever- I personally have had little success with EM, and probably will no longer experiment with it- sucralose can do the same and more, so screwing around with EM just seems like a waste of time.
