they can be had many places. litecigusa which is a "forum supplier" has the chrome ones for $50 for just the tube, no batt, no charger. free-ecig has the same black chrome model but their kit is $75 and adds 2 3.0 ohm attys 2 drip tips and a case or you can "customize" your kit and pay a few bucks more.

there is other but i'm too lazy right now, but trust me.... i've looked lol. i hate to turn this into another "get a provari" thread, but thats the only thing you can buy that you are guaranteed to get the exact same thing that everybody else got. all the other sites with chinese products get a slightly different model, call it something different so you arent sure you got the same thing, or sell garbage knock-offs and you never really know. my habit so far is to pick something within the US with a contact #, not sure about the varitube site so I'm a bit unsure about them as well but people here have gotten items from them just fine. free-ecigs is in IL so close to me and well posted contact info incase i have a problem

my :2c:

Have you tried a provari? How do you know it is overpriced?

haha, they do suck

to each there own, i am part of the "can't justify affording a provari just yet" crowd. i know the biggest difference is if you want to push a LR atty or dc carto on a cheaper mod.... yeah it's just not going to happen, voltage just drops off and it says no way. of course durability and consistency come into play as well but either way, the OP got an upgrade in the price range he wanted.

now que the more experienced people here to give advise about RBA's for him since im nowhere near the desire or expertise to try those.... yet :p

Provaris do suck. I own one now and I can definitively say that they suck. They do exactly what I tell them to do and they do it well. They look like an expensive watch. They feel like your holding a damn solid block of steel. The screen is extremely easy to see. The pattern looks great. Any 3.5ml tank fits flush and looks fantastic on them. They pick up light beautifully. The only thing GOOD about them is the 2 digit 2 click menu system.
