I just got a nautilus Mini and I'm already running into problems.

The first problem is that I'm not sure if the battery is charging or not. The instructions say that when it's plugged in, the light on the battery should turn blue or orange, but the light on mine just flashes 3 times and then turns off - no light after that. Does this mean the battery is defective?

The instructions also say that there should be a light on my charger adapter which should turn red when charging and green when done. But the charger adapter that came with mine (Premium Kit) does not have a light on it. Since the instructions appear to be wrong, how can I tell when it's charging and when it's done?

The other problem is that I cannot seem to unscrew the coil from the component it's attached to. I've read a lot of posts from other people who have the same problem and everyone responds saying not to screw it in too tightly, but this is the way mine came. Is this normal? I'm not sure how I'm going to replace it when the time comes if I can't get it out.

If my unit is defective, I'd like to return it right away before the warranty expires.

Thanks in advance!

What kind of battery is it?

What battery do you have?
The stock coil should not have come in the tank. Should have been separate in a foil pack.
Nope. One coil comes pre-installed and the other one is in the box.
EDIT: OP, the Nautilus Mini has nothing to do with charging your battery. What kind of battery do you have?

Yup, I have one that came pre-installed and 5 more in the box. If they are going to pre-install them though, they really should make sure they do it loosely. Especially since this appears to be a known problem.

I really don't want to have to use a pair of pliers to get it out. I don't want to ruin it.

I guess it's been too long. I thought they were both separate. My bad. Try a pair of standard pliers with the roundish notch in the middle of the jaws. Grab it loosely and use a piece of cloth or something to keep the pliers from scarring the coil.

I've seen those batteries around but never used one. I assume they charge like the ego style. If the battery has a 5-click on off feature, you may need to make sure it's turned on before you charge it. I had that problem with my old ego's. They are a PITA to turn on if they are dead sometimes. Try hooking up the charger and then turning it on. may take several tries.

I don't see a way around using pliers. Try to protect the coil with a piece of cloth or a paper towel.
Maybe your charging problem lies with the charger rather than the battery, but first try clicking the battery switch rapidly 5 times, then tell us what happens.

EDIT: In short, what Hans said. :)
FURTHER EDIT: I looked up your battery and the instructions say that the light on the battery will turn off when it's fully charged.

I used that setup for like 3 months and my fiancee still uses the batteries. Ive never had this problem but i can venture a guess or two.

Make sure that the connections are both clean and free of any debris. A Qtip should do the trick, no alcohol or anything needed.

Make sure that you are tightening the battery fully onto the adaptor.

Make sure that the usb is plugged fully into the wall adaptor.

If the connections are loose in any way or have any eliquid or dust on them then the connection wont work and there will be no charge

I take it that you figured out the issue with charging?

The airflow is related to vapor production. The more air you get in there the bigger the cloud that can be produced. I used to use mine on the highest setting and still found it tight.

Since current is equal to volts/resistance and your resistance is static at 1.8ohms (i think thats what the aspire nautilus is) the current increases as you increase the voltage. Since watts are measure by multiplying current by voltage. It basically means more power!
