I've been vaping for about 3 months now, and I can NOT get my smokejuice to taste right! I have a standard joyetech eGo 900mah 3.7 battery, and I've found that using either a wick feed carto or bottom coil carto works best with it. Should I use a LR carto like 1.8-2.4ohm, or something higher? You see, the problem is this: I'm using a Vision eGo Clear-o-mizer 2.4-2.9 ohm w/ a VG juice. One flavor is a lil thicker and the juice burns. The other VG flavor is thinner, but iis vaping fine.
So in the midst of tryin' to make sense of all this, I recently ordered a PG based juice, and a 1.8ohm atty replacement to go along w/ the 2.4ohm atty Vision eGo V2 Clear-o-mizer that's on its way. I should be receiving them tomorrow. From what I've read it seems that a PG should work well w/ a 1.8-2.4ohm carto and my 3.7V battery. Besides me purchasing an adjustable voltage battery does anyone have ANY input on this matter!? I'm goin' crazy over here tryin' to get this right! ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated...thanks!

I always used lower ohms on my ego's like 1.5 but I preferred a warmer vape with good vapor production. Using a lower ohms boosts it up a little higher, I was using atty's and dripping daily. The higher ohms ones require more voltage to get the right production / flavor out of them. One of the cheapest adjustable voltage models I have seen is the ego twist, you will be blown away with a little higher voltage. I have juices that I didn't care for till I tried them at a higher voltage.

If you have any 3ml bottles, take your thicker VG juice and fill it almost to the top. Add a couple drops of distilled water to it to thin it down. Thick juices always have a hard time wicking in most hardware unless you're dripping. The burnt taste you're getting is due to the wick getting too dry. Try the water and see if that helps.

A lower ohm wont help your vg wicking issue, it could make it worse. Here's why. A lower ohm will burn hotter, thus producing more vapor and using more juice. You are getting the burnt taste because the juice isnt wicking fast enough. So if you use a lower ohm, it will go though juice even faster.

Now, low resistance is basically 2.0 and under. When you use the lower resistance you will use more battery life and draw more amps. You get a much warmer vapor. Also, some juices may taste burnt, it's a trial and error thing.

My everyday device is either a 78mm 3.7v battery (for out of the house) or a 900mah x2 (3.7v). I prefer to use 2.4ohm bottom coil ce3. No wicking issues at all since it's bottom coil.

You may want to thin down your vg juice with a few drops of distilled water to let it wick easier

Hi,

Yes - a lower resistance carto or coil - will draw more current from the battery - thus the battery will drain quicker. Lower resistance (anything less than say 2 ohms) will therefore result in more current and a hotter coil. Power = Volts X Amps. More power = greater heat - same as your electric fire. Thus you could be getting the burnt taste on a lower resistance coil where you don't have the ability to reduce the voltage to compensate. If you only have the capability of running with a fixed voltage battery then it is probably best to go for a higher resistance coil - say 2.8 - 3 ohms. However - the down side of that is when the battery voltage starts to drop off as it loses its charge - then you have less power again and a cooler burn than before. It's experimentation - and obviously if you can get a variable voltage mod then you can have total control.

Regards,
Richard

Ya rule of thumb is as your volts go up your ohms can go up as well. On an ego I always use 1.5 LR atomizers. I like to drip my vg on a Cisco 306LR atomizer. Works great. 3 drops is roughly equivalent to a cigarette. If you stay on a 3.7v battery set up I would keep the ohms low for the most vapor and th. they will burn hot though so I personally wouldn't want them in anything with any filling such as a carto. That's one thing I like about vv batteries. You can turn your volts up or down depending on what you're using.

I was in the same situation, I vape 100%vg and was getting no taste, bad taste, no flow etc. the stardust clearomizers helped a lot but I was still getting poor taste levels - got an ego twist and it changed everything
Thanks tattoocloud! I've been thinkin' about, and I'm getting the eGo Twist. I have a few questions if you don't mind...OR anyone else throw their knowledge at me please! The 1000mah I heard is a device 4 3/4" long, and the 650mah an inch shorter. If I'm vaping properly w/ the 650 say, should I really get the 1000??
But my REAL concerning question is: With adjustable voltage, does it matter what ohm stardust clearomizer I use? Because I really like the wick system the Vision clearomizer has to offer. For instance, should I use a HR ohm w/ a high voltage for better taste? Can someone break it down of how to use the ego twist properly? Sorry, I'm just SO frustrated, and I'm tired of spending money for it to be money lost! HELP
