So I got my boges 510 lr cartos, and although they do work much better than the old cone heads attys I had, they still arent producing a lot of vape. =( I've watched plenty of videos on how to prime the cartos using the condom method, and thats what ive been doing. Is the ego C 650 mah just not that good of a ecig? or could I be doing something wrong? Also, I got some boges 510 lr cartos and some boges 510 lr XL......do you prime both of the same way? It seems like the XL arent working as well..... I never hear that sizzling sound when I use those like I do when I use the regular sized ones.
Im so confused. Would love to have that amazing vaping exprience I hear about, but right now its just been ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An ego battery (other than the Ego-Twist) is around 3.4 V under load. Its ok with a Boge LR carto (my favorite, BTW), but that carto will really come to life at around 4 V. I have measured ohms of Boge LRs at 2.0 - 2.4 ohms. The 2.0 ohm ones will be much better than the 2.4 ohm ones on the ego. But unless you have a meter you cannot tell until you vape with them.

Doing the numbers, heat correlates well with wattage = Volts*volts/ohms.

Using a 2.2 ohm Boge LR on 3.4V, wattage = 3.4*3.4/2.2 = 5.3 watts

Same carto, 4.2 V, wattage = 8.0 watts, which is about 60% more heat.

Thus the reason people like the variable voltage Ego-twist, or other VV devices.

Another issue could be the juice itself. If it is PG, you will get better vapor by using a PG/VG blend, or even all-VG juice (most vapor, less TH and flavor).

Other places here that people can interact with you more to help you:

Cartomizer Issues

eGo Type Models

The ego twist allows voltage up to 4.8V. The Riva, KGO, Echo batteries are same basic design of an ego, including cone threads and 510 connection, but they are about 4.2V freshly charged. My personal fave ego-type battery is the Echo 1300 mAh.
