I just received my new DSE901 kit today. I have followed all instructions. I am using a well charged battery. I have stood the atomizer with cartridge upright for several minutes to allow the juice to drip to the atomizer. Yet, when I inhale---nothing. Now if I take quick, short puffs without inhaling, vapor is created. Yet when I attempt to inhale as one would when smoking, no vapor. I have tried two different batteries, and several cartridges. It seems as though the atomizer is OK as it does produce vapor in those quick puffs. Has anyone else experienced this? What am I doing wrong? I have another model, the Smoking Everywhere. While I was not terribly happy with its perfromance, I certainly never had this problem.

I don't know much about that model but I know when I had that problem (I got manual batteries) I pushed my switch just before starting and take one little puff then one long slow one to give the atty time to heat up also make sure your not dry. My 510 came with 5 cats and when I took a puff great, then no more so I read the manual a found out they only have one puff in them. After I refilled it was ok.

You should know that it can take a few days for an atty to "break in". This is almost common on all models. If you stay with it for a few days, you should see the vapor increase as well as getting a better throat hit from it. By the time you receive your additional atty your first one more than likely will be broken in. Most of us have experienced the same issue, just work through the next couple of days and I believe you will be happy with the end result.

I have a DSE901 too and have only occasionally had problems. If you are getting vapor with the small puffs then that tells me that the atomizer works and the battery is charged. Even though your cartridge is "full" the atomizer might still need a little more juice to really get going. You could try dripping one or two drops of e-liquid (assuming you have some) carefully and directly onto the raised mesh looking "hill" or bridge inside the atomizer, then reattach your mouthpiece and take a few more little puffs. Now, take a long, slow pull into your mouth and then inhale and exhale like you would a cigarette. If you hold the vapor in your lungs too long then you won't see any vapor when you exhale, so don't hold it in! In the next week your atomizer will become "broken in" and will work at it's peak. I hope these tips help you out as you learn about how to be a vapor.

yah, put a drop or two, imo. the batt works ok with out the atty on it if you suck the batt like there is an atty on it?

if yes, put a drop or 2 on the atty.
if no, gonna have to do some sort of pga and air reversed blowed out of the batt. i dip the atty end of batt in pga, dip a q-tip in pga, then tap the q-tip to the little hole on batt, then can air from led end to clear it, and do that about 4 times, then do and batt check by hit it like the atty is on it...

it a e-cig and will be close but diferent than analog in how you draw.

and if you gots a man. batt do the same clean.
and the atty should always be suspect, unless you ohmeter check them or have a man. powered way to see if the atty lites up with its little red glow...

Well, I feel a little bit foolish, but I suppose I can blame that on inexperience. As it turns out, my battery was bad. It behaved the same way as Dogsbody's did. When I popped a freshly charged new battery on it. Viola! Beautiful vapor, and lots of it! And according to everyone here, it will be even better next week when my atty is broken in. Thanks everyone. You have all been so helpful.

Boxhead, I'm don't want to sound critical so please don't take this the wrong way, but I think there are too many abbreviations in your response for a newbie to understand what you are talking about.

Demistifyng abbreviations:

imo = In my opinion
led = Light Emitting Diode
atty = Atomizer
batt = Battery
ohmeter = Multimeter or Voltmeter used for measuring ohm resistance
yah = Yes
analog = Traditional cigarette
man. batt = Manual Battery

LOL this help any?

BTW I use 901' 801' and cartomizers.
When using 901's I always prime them on first use or when switching flavors. Drip two drops on the bridge, wait a couple seconds and hot box it (Suck repeaditly) this will warm the atty up. Then use slow long draws into you mouth and then inhale. Do not try to inhale directly into your lungs, you will not be satisfied.
I agree it takes a day or two for a 901 to fully perform the way it should.
Don't dispair and keep at it.
Hope this helps
Dan
