need help with itaste

hi i need help removing this part on a itaste mvp cant seem to remove it dont want to break it if i try the wrong way

i dont know my friend asked to fix it. The itaste is a 2.0 but other then that i wouldn't know. I have seen that the part comes off but i want to know the correct way to take it off so i dont break it

What have you done so far to try and remove it?

Doesn't look right.. like it's the part of the upper inside of a tank, not the base with the 510 that you would crew into the mod.

not much since im trying to not break it but i have tried twisting it with my hands my have to use some tool to see if it comes off but i dont know

Try a pair of pliers, you can rap tape around the business end so you don’t scratch it and turn counter clockwise. Use black electrical tape if you have it. Slow and gentle. Let us know what it looks like when you get it off.

It does but those threads at the bottom and the smaller set of threads above that. Just doesn't look right.

Seen this before, use pliers like CharTech suggested. It won't hurt, much. You can then (with the device off) try to lift the center positive contact up with a small screwdriver or stiff nosed tweezers on the iTaste. Careful they are usually in there tight. Then again mods are getting very reasonably affordable and most have spring loaded contacts-no adapter need no more. Most modern tanks also have adjustable airflow. That adapter looks like some kind of airflow contrlloer. I never liked those.

yeah the peice was just a little too tight to remove with fingers but the electric tape and pliers works like a charm!

Could try to rotate arrow portion CCW with adjustable pliers.

When putting a topper on a device, "snug" is sufficient. have to watch for cross-threading - if it's not catching when you're trying to put on the topper, run it backwards a couple of times until you feel the threads level out.

Also, you have to watch what kind of threading you have. Most toppers utilize what's called 510 threading or eGo threading. However there are some models out there that use 808 or 901 threading. From where did you get your MVP and/or your topper? There's a site called Smokeless Image that tends to have 808-threaded devices. Most MVPs are 510/eGo-threaded.
