Seen this before, use pliers like CharTech suggested. It won't hurt, much. You can then (with the device off) try to lift the center positive contact up with a small screwdriver or stiff nosed tweezers on the iTaste. Careful they are usually in there tight. Then again mods are getting very reasonably affordable and most have spring loaded contacts-no adapter need no more. Most modern tanks also have adjustable airflow. That adapter looks like some kind of airflow contrlloer. I never liked those.
