Need Help with my ego Battery :(

I can't get it to turn on or off. The light in the button will flash every once in a while. I think i know the problem but have no idea how to fix it. I looked at my other batterys and there is a little rubber ring around the center post. I'm guessing to keep juice from getting inside. Well, on this battery giving me trouble that rubber ring is lose and moves around.. That rubber ring does not move around on my other batterys. Could this be the problem on why this battery will not turn on or off. I click the button 5 times and it does nothing....but the light does come on each time the button is pushed. Hoping there is a fix I can do myself. Thanks

Does anybody have a clue? Just a minute ago i picked it up and the button light came on by itself and stayed on for the longest before it went off?

I don't have a clue, I didn't even know there was a rubber ring!

but, you are doing the 5 clicks in 2 seconds right?

Yes, doing the 5 clicks. I have a big magnifying glass that clips on the table. All the ego's that I have, have that rubber or silicon ring under the center post. This battery that is acting up...the ring is loose and moves around. The others do not...like they are glued down or something. I used a toothpick to see if they moved around.

This battery is almost a month old. I contacted smoktek where i bought it. Hoping i can return it for a replacement.
