Well my new Ego just got here and I have no idea what I'm doing. I thought it would come with some detailed directions on how to assemble and put in liquids. I don't want to ruin it and I'm scared to try this without directions. Is there somewhere to go for what I need. Here are some of my questions/comments...Help, I want to start now!!

--I don't know which part is which--it says atomizer, but I don't know what that looks like!
--does it come ready to go, or do I have to put in liquid or a prefilled cartrige
--I screwed a couple peices together and pressed the button, and I heard a popping sound
inside--did I break something already?

Ok--that's it for now--help!!!

I'm pretty sure you didn't break anything so don't get yourself worried :)

The big part is the battery. It has the female part. Next is the atomizer. It screws into the battery. So small, (insert color you picked) male part. Aside from the coil and I guess wick in there it should be empty and have a cart fit inside of it. There is a cone that will go over the atomizer and screws on as well. I know my ego came with prefilled carts but take a look inside the carts that came with yours. If it's filled it should be wet and like slushy in there. Fair warning, prefilled carts may not taste especially good, but turns out will work in a pinch if you are waiting on more juice

I'm still really new to this, but hopefully that helped some.

The battery is the longest part and has a button. The atomizer is the part that has threads on one end and the other end is open and has mesh inside (this screws into the battery). Blow the atomizer out, holding a papertowel over the open end, do this 2-3 times from each end of the atomizer. Drip some of your premade e-liquid onto the mesh and screw into the battery. The carts are small, black and have filler inside them. The package they are in should say Mrlb High or something to the effect on the wrapper unless they say empty. If empty you need to fill them, if not I advise to drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the filler to top off. Put the cart on/slips into the atomizer. The cone-open on both ends, the widest circumference end goes over the cart/atomizer and screws onto the battery.
Hope this helps.

Check out these videos, should answer most of your questions and get you going.

What you heard when you pressed the button was the atomizer heating up and no it didn't hurt anything if you just pressed it briefly, to long without juice can burn the wick. The atomizer is the piece with screw threads that screws into the battery. If you're kit came with prefilled carts which is the plastic mouth piece that attaches to the atomizer then you're ready to go but as said above prefilled liquid is pretty yucky most of the time. If you're not sure just look at the poly in the cart, if it's dry you need to put in liquid, if it's wet then it's a prefilled cart, prefilled carts usually come wrapped in plastic also to keep them from drying out.

I just got my eGo as well. I dropped 1-2 drops of juice on the atomizer. When should I put more on it? Do i drop different flavors as I change different flavor juice?

I got cartomizer ego XL and watched vid on youtube but confused me as hell so I'll keep refilling the prefilled carts until I can configure this out.

I can't tell the difference between burnt taste or tabacco taste.

If you're dripping straight into the atty 2 drops should get you several draws, no way to tell exactly as it'll be different for most anyone, when you feel flavor or vapor dropping or the taste changing drip another few drops. That goes for about every method, cartomizers, carts, etc. Add more juice when things start to change.

You can and will tell the difference between tobacco flavors and a burnt taste unless your juice is just aweful to begin with. You've probably never experienced a burnt taste so far and that's a good thing but if you do, you'll know it. It's very distinctive and harsh especially to the throat on the inhale.

Atomizer you can drip e-liquid into the cartridge you can fill with e-liquid and it serves as a wick to the atomizers bridge. the cone prevents leakage and makes for a more of a air drag when drawing on the device which some people perfer for better hits. The manual switch battery is what the atomizer screws on..

I know what my problem is now. I switched between 3-4 flavors. HY4, summer peach, Ten. Cured, and Clove. I can't tell the difference from any of them. Maybe my drag technique is wrong? Where is the taste/flavor? The first draw when it reaches your mouth or when u exhale? This is much harder than i initially thought.

At this point I'm still confused when i have less vapor if it is due to the dry atty, dry cart or low batt i guess.

I know I am totally a broken record on this issue, but try Cartomizers... FAR easier, last FAR longer before needing to refill.... Cart you get maybe 5 really good puffs, maybe...and need to top it off or it gets harsh/dry and then soon after burnt taste because it is near empty...

Also, if too harsh with that atty/cart combo, a carto will be less harsh, no question. That is why some people like to use the combo - a few hard hits. If people want a few great hits - then dripping is better. So the atty/cart combo has little use, in my view.

There is a reason that almost ALL mass marketers use a 2 piece model (battery + cartomizer) and that is simplicity, ease of use. and function.

Sometimes they come fully charged. Are you trying to re-charge one that you've used for 8 hours, or the spare one? If you're trying to charge the second battery (what I'm calling the spare,) possibly it stays green because it's already fully charged. Trade out batteries. Does the one you've been using turn the light red when you screw it onto the charger?

Ok, I think I got all the parts down and sort of what to do, but now I have a couple more questions. I put a prefilled cart in there and when I took it off, the foam stuff inside came out. Is that cart now useless?
I don't seem to be getting much vapor--do you have to drag on it longer and harder than a normal analog?
And, I have only tested it a few times, but I feel very lightheaded. How does one drag of this compare to an analog? I hope this gets easier, cause it's not as appealing to me as going outside for my analog!!

Use tweezers and put it back in the cart and take scissors and trim any stray fibers that stick out from the top, maybe take 1/2 mm off the top. The stray fibers just got tangled with the bridge.
As for taking a draw, nothing like smoking a cigarette. Just a tad more than a light pull and about 3-5 seconds. It will take you a day or so to get it right. Not too hard or you'll get liquid in your mouth.
Go ahead and stop for a bit and go outside to have a cigarette. Sometimes in the beginning it is frustrating.

Why are you even bothering with the atty/cart combo if ease of use is a big deal? In my view that combination should not even be sold to newbs. If that was my only option, I very much doubt I would vape. Maybe, but would be very frustrated with the entire concept.

This is not something I would normally advise a new person to vaping, but looking at the most recent comment................ He may be speaking of dripping. Dripping is when you take the filler out of your cart and put 3 drips from your e-liquid bottle directly into the atomizer on the mesh. Replace empty cart and you can get about 4 good pulls along with taste and vapor. Most use what is called a drip tip instead of the empty cart. Be careful not to run the atomizer dry as this will blow the atomizer. If it gurgles, then you have flooded the atomizer. Slowly and easily vape through the flood. You will have a dry, metallic, less e-liquid flavor if running dry.
Another option is to use cartomizers for a 510.
I think it is always best to learn to use the carts and learn about atomizers before moving on to bigger things.

I got 5 cartomizers with my order. However, the syringe I got seperately can't fit in the tiny juice bottle. The tip wasn't long enuf. So after "hard work" of trying to take the cartomizer apart, I was struggling with the juice. It;s funny how noob a newb can be. I just can't get 1.8ml juice with the syringe so I threw everything back in the box and start topping off my cart again. I TRIED! lol

Unless i should pour the ejuice out of its bottle into a cup? Tell me it'll get easier... plzz.
