And the description makes me feel like its not an entire clearomizer, even though it fits on the battery like one.

Yeah, that sounds about right haha. Well I guess its a learning experience! I've just decided to order this Kanger MT3 bottom coil clearomizer and hopefully that will solve everything!

Remove it from the battery, turn the mt3 upside down grasp the tank mid way and unscrew the base, the base and tube should come out of the tank, tilt slightly and fill with 2 ~2.5 ml of juice. Reinstall and tighten the tube/base, turn it right side up and blow through the drip tip covering the battery end with a napkin, do that until no more juice come out, dry the inside of the battery / base end.
Screw it back onto the battery , do not crank down on it just barely snug is good enough. Push button inhale slow and steady.

You have the correct feeling, what you have is a replacement tube, this is what you wanted>Kanger MT3 bottom coil clearomizer but now that you have the tube, this is what you will need to complete the unit>eGo CC bottom coil head T3 . It does become easier the longer you are involved. It will eventually become second nature. By the way go ahead and remove that shell from your battery before you get liquid inside the battery, Thats the reason you couldn't get any draw on it because it is not a complete unit.Good Luck.
