I don't know what just happened! I was driving home earlier and my Riva completely stopped working. When I attempted to use it the button would blink on and off. I didn't think too much of it. I figured the battery was low, so I put it down knowing I had the other battery on the charger at home and it was full. I got home and took the full one off the charger, put the low one on the charger and the charger light stayed green when it should have been red. Also the button on the low one didn't flicker like it usually does. Hmmmmmm.....so I hooked up the full battery and nothing. It is doing the same thing as the low one and I know it has a full charge! I tried every atomiser I have! The full battery when the button is pushed without the atty wi turns blue as normal, but as soon as I put an atty on it blinks when I push the button! I cleaned all the threads on everything thinking i wasn't getting a good connection....nothing! I am still fairly new to all of this and have read all over this forum but haven't run across anything like this! Does anybody know what might be wrong. All atty 's and both batteries, the charger.....everything couldn't have died at once!! I am about to panic! I don't think I can make it for a single day without my PV!!!!!!

You may also check your center post in the battery! It may be pushed down to far! You can take a pin or maybe eyeglass screw driver or something and wiggle upwards from different angles and work the post up higher as it may not be making proper contact! Don't know if it's the problem but might help...I will see if i can find a link!

Ok, so I tried hooking the charger to my PC.....didn't change anything. Light remained green even though I put a battery on that should have needed at some charge, hense the light should have shown red.

I tried raising the post just a bit on both batteries as well as the charger. Still didn't work. On the battery that should have a full charge the button light works properly untill I put on the atty. Then after the atty is on and the button is pushed the light blinks on and off.

I even tried the staple trick inserted into the atty for a good connection. No dice.....just the same as above. Now the manual button on the battery with the low charge is permantly on after trying to adjust the center post!

I'm screwed!

Nothing left to do but call and email the vendor.........spend more money.........I've only had these for less than 2 wks!!

Hopefully your warranty will kick in if only 2 weeks! When it comes to these things unfortunately all you can do is go through a troubleshooting checklist as not many people have a walk in shop local! The post method that I mentioned I have seen on here several times and has worked for some people and wasn't just something I made up!
Hope they get you fixed up quickly!

I don't have a Riva, but I do have a T-Rex, same thing. I had an odd problem with both of my batteries as well. I had had them for less then a week. I was using my atty and cart from my Joye 510Mega, and had been screwing the cone on over that. I ended up having the batteries dying on me after one hour. Fully charged battery dead. Both of them did that.
Turns out I think I was shorting the battery out by using the cone. I quit using it with the mega attys, and everything went back to normal. The cone works with the normal 510 atty, but not the Mega.
I also had a problem where I was going out, and wanted to make sure my battery was the fully charged one, so I went to swap them out, the battery on the charger had been in there for 5 hours and wasn't showing as charged, I swapped anyway, and no matter which battery I plugged into the charger, it showed as charged. I ended up unplugging and replugging the USB cord into every damn thing I could think of, finally I took the used battery, vapid off of it for a minute, and plugged the USB into my cell phone wall outlet, and it worked.
Good luck, only other thing I can say is try to ditch the cone, if you haven't yet.

I've had my Riva for about three weeks now and no real problems. I did have a panic moment a few days ago when I plugged a battery into my truck to charge. The light kept staying green. I knew it was dead because I had been using it since the night before. I was at work and decided to leave it plugged in and deal with it later. I went back about a half hour later and the light was red. It charged normally. I have noticed that when I charge in the truck the light takes several minutes to change from green to red. I don't know how long you left it plugged in, but you might try giving it a good long time. Hope that helps.
