need help with new cartridges

i just ordered a few more cartomizers, some 3 ohm 510's and the Ego mega dual coil, but i cant get any of the mega cartos to vape, and the smaller ones are very harsh on the throat with little smoke, but still have a good taste. what exactly am i doing wrong? i've tried adjusting the tip on the screw-on end of the megas, as recommended by a friend, but that just seemed to screw it up even more. any help is appreciated! i can't vape right now and its driving me crazy. >.<

the smaller ones i'm pretty sure just wont work with my ego unless moded, but the eGo megas should work fine right? im lost D=

Did you put any e-liquid in them? They come empty.

Well first not knowing how long you have been vaping or what juice you are using I would guess you are new and the juice is probably 100% PG which is very throat harsh.

As for the mega cartos some times they don't fit right, and the center pins in the battery and the carto don't connect. I have had to file the ends down to make them seat correctly and if you take too much off the end you have to file in new air channels some times.

And , make sure your putting enough juice in them , and then letting them sit awhile , to soak up the juice .

yes i have put juice in them (if you looked at the link you would notice that it came with 5 cartos, i have used all of them, hence the need for more).

if any of you have eGos, it would be helpful as well to know what the blinking light is. i'm guessing its there to tell me that the connection is shorted (it's not dead and only happens sometimes when trying the cartos out after adjustments). as an update, i still can't get them to vape, and i'm using johnson creek liquid and some blueberry i got from mad vapes. the blueberry i have been using is a lot like a hookah smoke, and the JC juice is more like a dry, harsher, pipe tobacco smoke. both of them yield a lot of smoke on exhale but it is tolerable going down (hell, is pretty smooth).

thanks for the replies! does anyone have a link to a video describing the adjustments on cartos? or a guide? i haven't been able to find many helpful ones. honestly, thats why i joined this forum. XD

The blinking light can mean that your battery needs to be recharged.

I'm not sure what you mean by carto adjustments.

Madvape Ego is actually a clone, not a Joye brand Ego and Joye brand cartomizers can be picky about fitting/contacting electrically in clones

Re the 3.0 cartos - are they Boge? I have no problems with them at all.

How I fill Vapor4Life KR8 cartos and Boge 510 cartos

Pop out the soft cap with an unbent paperclip in the mouth hole, very careful not to catch stuffing or the wire loop.
Shake and open the eliquid
Hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole, tilt the carto, and add 18 drops per ml of capacity into the stuffing (Boges and most KR8 cartos are about 1ml). And i use thin juices only (I use 20% or less VG)
Wait 15 seconds or so then see how many more drops the carto stuffing will soak in easily.
Clean up the threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue, puff into threaded end to clear air channel (Boges and the KR8 cartos I use have a defined center air channel and I want to see light through that)
Sop up any loose juice above the stuffing
Cap and let it settle - I lay it on different sides for 15-20 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing gets damp so I won't singe the carto. if you use thicker juice than me (I use 20% Vg or less) then you may need to wait much longer.

While vaping, if the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or the carto is getting hotter than normal, I take the carto off the battery and add eliquid. I sometimes use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on Boge and KR8 cartos (not to drip into since the juice would head for the central air channel)

go to youtube.. look up "doctor vapor" watch the 101 videos. It will help. there a video on for to fill and clean cartos. It's a good starting point. Also make sure you use a liquid that contains VG. When I was new I ordered a whole bunch of PG only juices from Johnson's Creek, and could figure out what was going on.

The only time my Ego has flashed is when it needs charging. That's an odd thing to have happen. Hope you get it working right.
