Do eGo cartridges really suck this bad?

SteveFromNY, Try the mega cartomizers on your eGo. I started with and still love my KR808. I also use and enjoy my eGo. I use cartomizers on both. I can't get the cart or drip thing to work with the eGo. Like you said two or three puffs then yuck. The very cool thing about the Mega Cartomizers is that they hold about 1.8ml of juice, so while you are on vacation you don't have to worry so much about battery life (eGo bats go for a long time) or refilling on the go.

When you fill the Mega Cartomizers for the first time put juice in until you get a drip from the bottom of the cartomizer, otherwise you get a dry burn. It only needs to drip on the first fill. After the first fill it takes about 1 to 1.2 mLs of juice. These are my go to, when I'm on the go devices. Best of luck.

I forgot to add that you need a syringe to fill the mega cartomizer, but they are not that hard to find. Use a needle that is at or below an 18 gauge in size. Needles get larger the smaller the number. You can find them with blunt tips.

Thanks, I can never find that thread when I need to link to it for someone.

mwa, I bet if you check that battery after you vape on it for a bit, you'll see it drop to 3.7v. This is common with most lithium ion batteries. 18650s are 3.7v batteries for example. They also come off the charger at 4.2v and quickly drop to 3.7v. They're also going to run at a lower voltage under load than they do reading the battery straight.

It is an interesting thread to read. Do I have much of an understanding of much of it? No... lol.

I am not sure if ScottBee is brilliant - or it is the House man hypnotizing me while reading his posts...

Also, since another battery/voltage debate seems to be brewing, let me ask a far more basic question that is important to newbies...

On most "mass marketer" sites they say to unplug the battery as soon as possible once charged to avoid damaging the battery. I am a techno tard, but this makes no sense to me. Do not lithium batteries stop charging once fully charged? Or is it a matter of a sensor in the charger that tells it when to stop charging? This sounds like pure litigation prevention rather than any sound concern to me... but not certain of it.

My eGo, with standard 510, gives a consistent vape until it's out of juice... perhaps you're under or overfilling? Flooding, with a slower leak, could easily explain why you get 2-3 good hits and then poor vapor/TH. MEGA does gives a bit of a better hit, more vapor, but more prone to leaks due to the cart being so wide.

I agree. I can see someone preferring a certain type of hit on one model vs. another - but there is no question that the EGO provides huge vapor. Much of any discussion on models is a matter of preference/opinion, but the amount of vapor is simply stating a fact, not opinion. Something seems to be wrong... or something.

However, i do agree that using a cartridge only gives a couple of great hits and then ack. Why I much prefer cartomizers... But I have never used MEGA carts or carto's....

If anyone can possibly answer this i think it is important. I am not going to create a thread as I do not want to cause a stir... lol. I think this is pure litigation prevention. Virtually ALL devices now use these exact same batteries... This seems like pure silliness to me...
