Just leave it alone and talk to jay,it looks like the head is blown.Like when you stack unprotected batts.I ordered my first batts from china and they said they were protected and apparently they were not. They blew the head.I had no idea, but when Jay got it he said the batts were probably NOT protected.Just send it in and let him see it.He can get you fixed up Im sure.

Yea I saw all kinds of batteries out there for sale but decided to go with the AW's from LightHound.com since it seems like many on here are using those. In fact I was so pumped about the device I ordered another 4 batteries, another charger and a car adapter. About 1 hour later.....it stopped firing. I'll call Jay in the AM and get this thing back to the shop.

So when I was waiting for it to get here it wasn't so bad because I had no idea what to expect. Now that I've had it for 2 days this is going to be brutal to wait because it rocks!

I am using these which were mentioned by many in the thread regarding what batteries to use.

I am using these batteries - https://www.lighthound.com/AW-RCR123...ery_p_114.html

Using this charger - https://www.lighthound.com/Ultrafire...er_p_2279.html

Yet another clue to the puzzle though that I just found out. I took all my batteries out on a table. Tested each one with a vlt meter. They are all between 3.3 and 3.5V. When I put a set into the GLV and push the button it will fire for 2 seconds then stop. Taking out the batteries I tested each one again. The one that is closest to the head cap reads 0.00V and the other still reads 3.4-3.5V. All I have to do is put them both back on the charger for 30 seconds and they both read 3.3-3.5V again. I'm thinking whatever is wrong is causing the protection to kick in on the battery thus shutting it down. Has to be a short or simply a bad resistor.

Are you using the same batteries that GLV sells?

Just Matte Black....no clear

I love the Matte Black as well.
Although I thought I would mix it up by going with:
Matte Black end and head caps with a clear coated Nebula Green body.
I'm hoping that combo will look sick!
I'll know soon enough as it was shipped yesterday.

Talked to Jay today. Sending it back tomorrow. Bad resistor is what he thinks given it's kicking in the battery protection and the way the resistor looks. Luckily this forum has some AWESOME PEOPLE on it because somebody ( I won't name the name for privacy reasons ) has loaned me a GLV2 til mine gets back! That is what I call generosity and an awesome person! Jay says he should be able to fix it up this weekend so shouldn't be too long of a wait. I was very impressed with Jay and the customer service. They are mechanical devices and eventually you will run into a crap resistor.
